Vitamin D – the ☀️Sunshine Vitamin☀️

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that plays an important role in keeping our bones, muscles and immune system healthy.

Our bodies can make vitamin D when our skin is exposed to sunlight. However, in Ireland, there is not enough UVB sunlight during the winter months for our bodies to make sufficient vitamin D from sunlight alone.😎

Vitamin D can also be obtained from certain foods, including oily fish, egg yolks and foods fortified with vitamin D. 🐟️🍳
