This week, we are focusing on a 2-minute massage of a special acupressure point called Yintang to help alleviate sinus congestion and headaches. It's the point that's in the position of what some of you might know as the "third eye", midway between the eyebrows.

This point can help if you or anyone you know experiences allergies to dust or pollen, sinus infections or has a blocked nose from a cold or flu. It's also an excellent point for:

- relieving stress and anxiety;
- calming and focusing the mind;
- easing frontal headaches;
- helping manage insomnia;
- promoting mental relaxation and balance.

Don't forget your abdominal breathing too as this is very helpful in further encouraging the flow of Qi as you perform acupressure.

NOTE: This video is for beginners who want to learn simple acupressure points and techniques as part of a general healthcare routine. It is no substitute for a consultation with your healthcare practitioner if you are experiencing any symptoms that concern you.

Click the link below for instructions on how to locate and massage Yintang.

In our modern-day world with our often hectic schedules of trying to fit too many things intoa busy schedule, it is common for us to feel “stuck”. This stuck feeling can manifest either:

1. Physically – by way of pain, clots, cramps, headaches, premenstrual tension, digestive issues or sinus/chest congestion;

2. Mentally/Emotionally – by way of brain fog, anger, feeling unmotivated, depressed, anxious or simply “stuck in the mud”.

This stuck feeling in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is described as stagnant Qi and can be caused by many factors, for example:

- poor diet;
- overeating;
- too much screen time;
- lack of physical movement;
- stress;
- excess alcohol;
- toxins in the environment.

Three of the main systems in the body particularly subject to this feeling of stagnant Qi or “stuckness” are:

1. The Lung system – which, when not functioning optimally, can lead to a build-up of Qi in the chest, manifesting as breathing difficulties, chest or sinus congestion.

2. The Spleen system – which, when overcome by excess, can lead to a heavy, bloated, “stuck in the mud” feeling, especially in the abdominal area, as Spleen governs the whole of digestion in TCM terms.

3. The Liver system – which is responsible for the smooth flow of Qi, so is often affected.

Follow along with me in the Qigong routine below to learn 3 Qigong exercises to help the 3 main organ systems to unblock stuck or stagnant Qi and help it flow smoothly.

This video shows you a gentle 20-minute Qigong routine to become "unstuck" with 3 Qigong exercises. If you feel physically as though you have stagnant Qi which can manifest as pain, cramp, congestion or digestive problems or mentally like you are "stuck in the mud", depressed, anxious or unmotivated...

Friday night is a full moon alert! 🌕😊
https://spacetorelax.com/lesson-45-full-moon-qigong-routine-replay-of-live-qigong-class/

This full moon is called the "Flower Moon", the term originating from Native American seasonal naming, reflecting the unfolding changes each month. May is the time for wildflowers, warmer weather, and plant growth. (In the southern hemisphere this would be the month of October). 🌸

What does this mean for us in Qigong terms, and how can we make the most of the full moon to improve our health?

In Qigong practice, many of our exercises draw on the Qi of nature. For instance, we can absorb Qi from the earth, sky, trees, sun and moon, which are all abundant in Qi with different qualities. We can use this Qi to benefit our health by providing us with, for example:

- more energy;
- a feeling of being more grounded;
- extra warmth;
- a cool and calm mind.

[Those of you in my Space To Relax membership programme have access to a much more detailed lesson on how to absorb Qi from the moon - it's Lesson 42 in the membership area.]

Below is a live class replay which shows you a simple Full Moon Qigong Routine. You can use this routine the day before (Thursday), day of (Friday) and day after (Saturday) the full moon if you are:

- feeling exhausted;
- lack motivation;
- want to give yourself some gentle nurturing;
- want to rid excess heat in your body (e.g. menopausal night sweats) 🥵

If you'd like to learn more exercises to absorb Qi from nature and rid waste Qi from your body then sign up for your FREE Qigong video course; a series of 3 lessons delivered directly to your inbox by email. 😊 Join by clicking here: https://spacetorelax.com/free-qigong-video-series/

One of the most common obstacles I hear in relation to Qigong practice is finding the time to do it!

My mission is to show you how you can easily integrate Qigong into your daily life without scheduling a special "practice time".

The exercise below is a great example of how to benefit from Qigong in only 3 minutes. You can do this exercise sitting at a desk, waiting in the car to collect children from school, when you sit down to have a cup of tea, or when you go into bed at night.

This Qigong face massage is a short extract from an exercise called "Bao Jian Anmo", one of the lessons in the 50-week Space To Relax programme. It's only a few minutes long, and you can use it to revitalise your body and focus your mind. It's amazing how enlivened your senses feel afterwards!
