Just a reminder: I questioned the task force process last October and my opinion wasn’t particularly supported at the time.

That’s okay - I remember who had my back when I was being publicly mocked 😎

One thing I’ve learned after more than three decades of advocacy is that experience matters. When you’ve spent years navigating systems, campaigning for change, attending meetings, reading policy, supporting communities, and witnessing how decisions play out in the real world, your perspective is relevant.

It doesn’t mean you’re always right, but it does mean your concerns deserve consideration.

Sometimes the most important questions are the ones people don’t want to hear in the moment.

“Not every part of healing can happen in public. Some chapters need privacy, space, and time to process.”

Thank you to everyone who has reached out asking about my medical updates. 💛

I’m taking some time to process this next chapter privately.

I also want to thank everyone who donated to or shared my crowdfunding campaign. Setting it up was one of the hardest and most humbling things I’ve ever had to do. While I didn’t reach my target, your generosity helped towards the costs of travelling to Romania and London for specialist care, and I am incredibly grateful.

I’ve decided to close the fundraiser. The reality is that after decades of living with endometriosis, surgeries, medical appointments, travel, and treatment costs, the financial burden has been enormous. Having to be so public about those struggles has had a significant impact on my mental health.

For many people, life is holidays, social plans, and milestones. For me, much of the last 30 years has been medical appointments, recovery periods, and trying to access the care I need while managing on a limited income.

This next chapter won’t be easy, and I need some time and space to process it.

When I’m ready to share updates, I will. Until then, thank you for respecting my privacy, my boundaries, and for all the support you’ve shown me throughout this journey. 💛

📢 ENDOMETRIOSIS UPDATE – IS IT ENOUGH?

On May 29th, the Minister for Health announced progress in Endometriosis services in Ireland.

Progress is welcome. But for the thousands of patients still waiting years for diagnosis, treatment and specialist care, the question remains:

Is it enough?

Many patients continue to travel abroad for treatment, face long waiting lists and live with chronic pain while fighting to be heard.
