Here's my honest take.
Can it offer some relief? Yes, for some people.

Is it addressing the reason your gut is struggling in the first place? Almost never.
Here's the analogy I always use.
Imagine you have a dirty kitchen floor.

You scrub it spotless.

But while you're scrubbing someone is still pouring dirt on it from the other side of the room.
