I’m always interested in treatments that work with the skin rather than simply changing what we see on the surface and that’s exactly why I’m excited about RADIESSE®.

RADIESSE is a biostimulator, designed to stimulate the skin’s own collagen production and support improvements in skin quality, firmness and structure over time.

For me, this is where aesthetics gets really interesting, thinking beyond an immediate result and looking at what we can encourage the skin to do for itself.

Melasma can be frustrating and managing it is rarely about one treatment alone.

It’s a complex pigmentation concern that can be influenced by hormones, UV exposure, heat and other factors, which is why I always talk to my patients about the bigger picture.

SkinPen microneedling can form part of a personalised treatment plan to help reduce the appearance of melasma and improve overall skin quality, but what happens between appointments matters just as much.

SPF 50 every single day, sensible sun protection (yes, the wide-brimmed hat matters! 👒) and consistent, appropriate homecare all play an important role in keeping pigmentation under control.

For suitable patients, I may recommend a course of SkinPen treatments, typically spaced around 2–4 weeks apart depending on the individual skin and treatment plan.

And something I think is really important to understand, there is no permanent cure for melasma. Our aim is to manage it, reduce its appearance and put the right measures in place to help prevent it from worsening or recurring.

Kinda chic… but always with a purpose. ✨

Behind every course, every new treatment and every decision made in clinic is the same question, How can I better support the people who put their trust in me?

That means putting skin health ahead of trends, being comfortable saying no when a treatment isn’t right, and continuing to expand my knowledge so the advice and care you receive evolves too.

It means understanding more about the changes women experience through menopause, investing in advanced treatments and technology here in Tuam, and taking the next step towards becoming a Nurse Prescriber.

Because aesthetics, for me, has never just been about what we can treat.
It’s about listening, understanding the bigger picture and making decisions that are genuinely right for the person sitting in front of me. 🤍

If I could only pick 5 things I love about Baby Glow, these would be them...

1. The hydration
For me, this is one of those treatments that really comes into its own when skin is looking tired, dry or just a bit flat.

2. It gives glow without changing the face
I'm always going to favour treatments that leave people looking like themselves. Baby Glow is about improving the skin, not altering your features.

3. It's a skin quality treatment
This is a big one for me. We're not chasing volume here. We're working on hydration, texture and that healthier-looking finish to the skin.

4. The results are subtle
