Superb idea, congratulations to all who served , who brought the Tubbercurry Golf Club to what it is today.

⛳️The Founders Cup⛳️

The June Bank Holiday saw history created in TGC with the inaugural running of the Chairpersons Prize. A mixed event between Ladies and Gents and it was a roaring success. Congratulations to our Chairperson Brendan Murphy on this initiative, we already can't wait for next year!

The highlight of the event however happened off the golf course and in the clubhouse when Brendan announced that he had commissioned "The Founders Cup" the inscription reads "Dedicated to the foresight and determination of the founding members of TGC".

We were delighted to welcome back the Nine founder members to present the cup. Pictured are Ross McManus (representing Harold RIP), Joe Kilcoyne, Paul O'Reilly (winner), Padriac Kennedy, Charles P. Scanlon, Brendan Murphy (Chairperson), Gerard Henry (representing Pearse RIP), Tony Burke (representing Joe RIP), John Murphy, and Eamonn Og Gallagher.

Padriac Kennedy spoke on the night on behalf of the founders which was a special moment. We hope the Founders enjoyed and they were able take stock of how far their vision has come. The now over 500 members that get to enjoy this wonderful facility will forever remain indebted to you.

The mission statement of the Founders back in the mid 1980s was "To create a superior golfing facility in Tubbercurry".

We can now simply say, Mission Accomplished!

MSLETB's Sligo Adult Guidance Service will hold an information session in Tubbercurry Community Library from 10am to 1pm on Thursday 18th June.

This is a drop-in session, so no appointment is required.

The information session is aimed at anyone who is interested in upskilling, changing career, returning to education or furthering their education.

Come along at any time between 10am and 1pm and find out how the Adult Guidance Service can help you. All welcome!
