Clonminch Pharmacy is looking to hire a pharmacy technician to join our dispensary team in Tullamore.
The pharmacy prides itself on its customer service so a pharmacy technician will be expected to have:
- an ability to develop a good rapport with customers
- excellent communication skills
- a dedication to treat all the pharmacy's patients with dignity and respect
The ideal candidate will:
- be friendly
- work well in a team
- have a good attention to detail, which is crucial when working with medicines.
Hours:
- 3 to 5 days per week depending on the preference of the successful candidate.
- No late nights
- No Sundays
- No bank holidays
- Requirement to work every 2nd Saturday
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Ensure that drugs are stored safely and securely.
- Order medicines from approved suppliers
- Ensure the maintenance of standards of clinical hygiene within the pharmacy
- Identify and report deficiencies in medications management systems and processes, where applicable.
- Participate in innovation and technological improvements in the pharmacy service, as appropriate to the role.
- Assist in the training and induction of new pharmacy staff
Qualification Criteria
(I)the Pharmaceutical Technicians Diploma awarded by the University of Dublin
(II)the Pharmacy Technicians qualification at QQI Level 6 awarded by Technological University Dublin, Technological University of the Shannon (Athlone), Atlantic Technological University (Letterkenny), of South East Technological University (Carlow)
(III) the Pharmacy Services Certificate (NVQ 3) offered by the Irish Pharmaceutical Union.
A relevant qualification at least equivalent to (II) or (III) above.
