At this threshold of Lughnasadh there is a level of honesty required.
Where am I?
How did I get here?
What was within and out of my control this growing season?
A time of our first harvest can feel tender. As we look around we may find our life is juicy, rich and bountiful and other times we may feel we haven't been able to put our precious time, energy and resources into the things that we dreamed and visioned at Winter Solstice.
I find that even though we may be under the illusion that our life is laying fallow, if we are able to take a birds eye view there is abundance and beauty to be found.
Your growth is more than what you hold in your hands, what is visible or material... Your growth and harvest is also reflected in the emotional, creative and soulful expansion. Your harvest may not be visible to the eye but it is felt within your being.
If you have a sweet bounty, drink it in, savour it and honor all that it has taken to arrive at this place.
If your visions are still seeding, keep tending them and trust in their arrival and ponder where you get in your own way.
If life has taken you on an unexpected sidetrack, don't judge or compare your harvest... Look at what you have learned about yourself at this period of life, celebrate the seemingly small wins - you will find unexpected gifts.
May you trust the season of the life you are in and let the medicine of Lughnasadh support your path.
