MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
This area is often overlooked in bodywork, yet it is home to the digestive organs, reproductive organs, major fascial connections, the vagus nerve, and what many refer to as our “second brain” - the gut.
From a scientific perspective, restrictions through the abdominal fascia can influence posture, breathing mechanics, pelvic function, digestion and even contribute to tension patterns throughout the body.
For women experiencing symptoms associated with PCOS, endometriosis, bloating, pelvic tension, painful periods, C-section scars or chronic stress, restoring mobility and movement through the abdominal tissues can be an important piece of the puzzle.
From an energetic perspective, the womb and pelvic space are often associated with creativity, identity, safety and emotional holding. It is not uncommon for clients to experience emotional shifts when working through this area, particularly when the body begins to release long-held tension and protective patterns.
Myofascial Release is not about forcing change. It is about creating safety, restoring movement and allowing the body to do what it was designed to do - HEAL. ✨
