Yesterday our residents enjoyed a wonderful fun visit from Big Noisy 99s 🍦💛

We might not have had the lovely sunshine we’ve been enjoying lately, but Big Noisy definitely brought the sunshine vibes to us! ☀️

There were smiles, laughter and lots of fun shared by residents, staff and families throughout the day.
A huge thank you to Big Noisy for coming to visit us — we loved every minute! 😊

Our residents had the most heartwarming visit from the beautiful ponies from Little Steps Big Strides 🐴💛

There were plenty of smiles, cuddles, gentle pats and lovely memories made throughout the day. The ponies brought so much joy, comfort and excitement to everyone, and it was wonderful to see our residents light up during such a special visit.

🎨🖌️ Arts in Nursing Homes Day 2026 🖌️🎨
On Friday, 15th May, we proudly celebrated Arts in Nursing Homes Day 2026 in collaboration with Nursing Homes Ireland. We held our annual Art Exhibition, showcasing the incredible creativity and talent of our residents.

The day room was transformed into a beautiful gallery, filled with wonderful artwork created by our residents. We were delighted to enjoy lovely live music from Sinéad, which created a warm and relaxing atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Guests were treated to delicious snacks from our cheese boards while admiring the fantastic displays.

A special highlight of the day was the unveiling of our collaborative art project, "Through Every Season." 🌳🍂❄️🌸☀️
This unique piece was created using recycled bottle caps, tabs, and bread boards. Residents spent time painting and carefully arranging the materials to form a beautiful tree representing the four seasons. The project reflects not only their artistic skills but also teamwork, creativity, and our commitment to sustainability.

A huge thank you to all of our residents, staff, families, and friends who helped make this such a memorable and meaningful celebration.

We are so proud to share that our beloved therapy dog, Matilda, has been nominated in the Petmania “Helping Paw” category! 💖

Matilda is such a special part of our nursing home family. Every day she brings comfort, happiness, companionship, and plenty of smiles to our residents and staff. Her gentle nature and loving presence make a real difference in the lives of everyone she meets. 🐶✨

🧼✨ World Hand Hygiene Day Celebration ✨🧼
Today in our home, we marked World Hand Hygiene Day with a fun and informative session for our residents.

We held a small demonstration showing the correct handwashing techniques, highlighting just how important good hand hygiene is for staying healthy and preventing the spread of infection.

Our residents then had the opportunity to take part themselves, practising the proper techniques and enjoying getting involved in the activity. It was wonderful to see such great engagement, smiles, and a real sense of achievement as everyone took part.

Promoting health and wellbeing is always at the heart of what we do, and today was a lovely reminder that even the simplest habits can make a big difference. 💙

A huge congratulations to Victor on winning Artist of the Month for the second year in a row! 🏆
Victor is always eager to take part in arts and crafts, and recently shared how meaningful and therapeutic art is for him. Hearing this reminds us exactly why we do what we do — creating opportunities for our residents to express themselves, relax, and enjoy the moment through creativity.

Today we celebrated the beautiful tradition of the May Bush, with our wonderful residents decorating the tree together. It was a lovely way to mark the start of summer, full of colour, smiles, and community spirit 🌿✨

🦉✨ A wonderful highlight from our Easter week! ✨🦅

We had a truly special visit from Colin of Flew to You Bird Show, and what an incredible experience it was for everyone.

Colin shared his amazing knowledge of owls and falcons, giving such interesting and engaging information that had us all fascinated. The residents especially loved the opportunity to get up close and even hold these beautiful birds – a moment many will never forget!

It was a fantastic day filled with curiosity, excitement, and plenty of smiles. Thank you to Colin for such a memorable visit 🧡
