These are such common complaints from my clients

They are “eating healthy”, working out, walking and adding a little more protein to their diet but they are still constantly hungry, craving sugar and tired.

When we take a deeper look at what they are actually eating, it is so easy to see the cracks and understand why they are feeling this way.

A skipped breakfast, boring salad for lunch and a somewhat filling dinner is going to make you want to eat more in the evenings, feel exhausted after lunch, and feel hungry more throughout the day.

Your body needs fuel… and it needs the right fuel.

Protein is king 👑 for satiety and so is fiber (do not skimp on the fiber) so if you want to stop feeling hungry throughout the day you need to be adding protein to every meal and snack.

You need to be eating a variety of meals… yes you can eat meals on repeat but you still need some variety to stop you craving other foods.

You need to be sleeping more. Put down the remote and go to bed.

Include more of the foods you love in your diet and you will stop craving them as much.

Eat 3 balanced filling meals and a snack throughout the day and you will notice how much better you will feel.

These will help you simplify weight loss.

My clients come to me because they have tried diet after diet and nothing has worked.

There are 2 categories I see over and over again:
They can lose weight but can’t keep it off

or they lose some of the weight, life happens and they stop.

A diet becomes a temporary fix for them.

They don’t understand how to maintain the weight or stay consistent.

Most of it comes down to support (and accountability).

Weight loss is such a huge topic and most of the time it’s completely over complicated.

But what really works is:
A good relationship with food
eating balanced meals
allowing all foods in your diet
Moving your body
Good sleep
Less stress
And a focus on healthy habits over an obsession with the number on the scale

This is where I come in. I help women to lose weight by focusing on healthy habits and their relationship with food.
You will start small.
You will focus on long term over short term results.
You will shift mindsets.
You will be more organized with your meals.
You will move from place of love over earning your food or punishing your body
You will know how to maintain your weight loss without obsession
You will have a healthy relationship with food
You will live a healthy lifestyle without restriction
You will stop using food for all negative and positive emotions.
You will allow foods in your home because you aren’t scared of eating them all.

If you are done with dieting and want support and to be held accountable, my 1:1 coaching program is for you.

I have opened 3 spots for June and I want you to take 1.

(Solo) parenting ain’t for the weak

I think parenting, in general, is truly hard, I don’t think it’s easy for anyone but being completely solo, no help, no support, no community, makes it just a little harder.

I don’t think when I went into this decision I was 💯 prepared (I mean who is?). I have learnt so many things along the way, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I love being a solo parent, I love our bond, the freedom, the routine and our life together but it is just hard.

The lack of flexibility, clocking out for 5 mins, making all the decisions, worrying about every decision, listening to “mummy” about 50,000 times per day, being the only adult in her life. It is a huge responsibility. But one I wouldn’t change.

I know I usually post about health and nutrition but I wanted to share a little more about solo parenting.

If you are a solo parent by choice or considering to start the process follow me for more bts with my daughter.

This is everything I say and do with Riley when it comes to the topic of food.

I encourage her to make her own decisions around food, her likes and dislikes, how much she wants to eat, requesting foods without any judgement, given choices for her snacks. It is so important that she has a healthy relationship with food.

I allow her to enjoy chocolate when she asks for it. Sometimes she asks for seconds and it’s just before dinner so I tell her she can have the second piece after dinner, as I would with a piece of fruit, cheese or anything else she asks for 3 mins before I put food down on the table. It isn’t about the chocolate… it’s more about her eating dinner but it’s promised after dinner and if she still wants it, she has it.

They take on everything you say and mirror it, which is why I am so careful.

Riley has started to ask me to carry her after the bath to her room, so I jokingly said once, this is why I go to the gym, so I can lift you… and she said to me last night, “you can lift me because of the gym”. She absorbs it all.

I have too many words for this reel…

I had to cut my video in half because I had so much to say. But man her stuff is so unbelievably toxic.

The one thing I want to say is yes, you can enjoy frozen yogurt. Even a full cup. It probably does have protein in it. But it will not keep you full for longer than 30 mins and you will be craving real food after.

It is not lunch. It has no fiber and no fat. It has below minimum protein. So I dunno how she is selling it as a meal… and the comments section is buying it as a meal… but it’s safe to say we are in dangerous territory if people are following this drivel.

If you want normal advice on how to lose weight without extreme dieting… follow me .

I am very careful with the words I use

Meal times can be triggering, even though Riley loves most foods and enjoys her vegetables, she has a tendency to play around whilst eating. Sometimes a meal can take over 40 minutes because she is messing… and that drives me a little nuts. But I am very careful to not push her or force her to eat because I know that can cause more damage.

Our meals are really balanced and she will eat veggies as snacks but I also let her have chocolate, crisps etc without any labels or reward system.

Some days she asks to eat something about 10 times per day and sometimes she barely snacks. I go with how she is feeling.

I really want her to have a good relationship with food that continues well into adulthood, so I am really mindful with how I speak to her.

Your relationship with food was probably influenced by how you grew up, and you might be passing on some of those patterns to your children.

Follow me for the words I DO use around food for my daughter.
