Inclusion Is More Than Access—It's Opportunity
True inclusion means creating pathways for people of all abilities to learn, work, contribute, and belong. At AKIM Israel, inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities is not a privilege; it’s a right.
In their recent inaugural publication, the Jewish Disability Network highlighted this important message and the work of AKIM, with a special focus on AKIM College - our innovative program that helps people with intellectual disabilities develop practical skills, pursue meaningful employment, and build greater independence and confidence.
The feature serves as a reminder that inclusion is not simply about support; it's about ensuring that every person has the opportunity to participate fully in society and achieve their aspirations.
Thank you to the Sokal, Blas, and Redner for providing an open forum to connect, share, and learn. You are elevating the conversation around disability inclusion and educating the broader public by showcasing initiatives like ours that are helping turn this vision into reality.
