Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund

Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund The Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund (ZDVF) - Beit Halochem In keeping with that philosophy,
Beit Halochem offers a variety of activities to
occupy the family.

Beit Halochem Centers in Israel are unique
rehabilitation, sports and recreation centers
which look after Zahal Disabled Veterans and
their families. Beit Halochem applies the philosophy that the
disabled should be cared for in an environment
that is both congenial to them and to those
around them. A very important feature at Beit
Halochem is the meeting of “generations” of
disabled, bringing toge

ther old-timers with
newcomers who must learn to adjust to the
difficult and complex world of disability. Sports programs contribute to successful
rehabilitation by maintaining the members’
physical fitness and preventing deterioration of
their health. Each center also offers a diverse
choice of arts & crafts workshops as well as
social and recreational activities.

Dror Kendelshein was severely wounded during the ‘Second Lebanon’ War.
Despite the long and difficult rehabilitation journey, he chooses life every single day - never giving up on himself for a moment.

Back in 2018, when construction of Beit Halochem Ashdod first began, Dror stood with us on the site.
Today, he returned to visit as the center nears its final stages of construction, deeply moved knowing it will soon become a second home for him and his family.

International Women’s Day🌷 Today we choose to honor the courageous women among us - women who carry not only physical wounds, but also deep invisible ones.

In a powerful art exhibition initiated by Adi Cohen Gil, these unseen wounds are given a voice. The stories of women who faced moments that changed their lives:
one who was on duty as a border surveillance monitor on October 7 and survived,
others who endured abuse from the very person meant to provide safety during their service,
women who were injured while carrying out their jobs
and those who continue to face the quiet battle of post-trauma every day.
Through art, their pain, strength, and resilience come into view.
The exhibition is currently on display at Beit Halochem Tel Aviv.

Family Day 💙
At Beit Halochem, healing is a family journey.
Between therapy sessions and shared moments, you’ll find laughter, support, and a true sense of belonging — because when we stand with a wounded veteran, we stand with their entire family.
