🏙️ BODY STORIES WITH ROLI — EPISODE 2

Meet the Traffic Police: INSULIN 👮‍♀️

In Episode 1, we saw glucose trucks enter the bloodstream after a meal. 🚚🚚🚚

But one question remained:
Who tells these trucks where to go?

Meet insulin — the traffic police of your body. 👮‍♀️
When blood glucose rises, the pancreas releases insulin. Insulin travels through the blood and helps cells take up glucose so it can be used for energy.

And here's the important part:
Insulin isn't the villain. ❤️

It's part of the system helping your body manage glucose and keep the city running smoothly.

But what happens when the cells stop listening to insulin?

More police are sent...
but the doors still don't open properly.

🚨 That's insulin resistance.

And that's our next story.

Save this post if you want to understand insulin without complicated medical language.

BODY STORIES WITH ROLI | EPISODE 3

Why the City Stops Listening — Insulin Resistance
Your blood sugar looks normal.
You feel normal.
But what if your body is working overtime just to keep it that way? 👀

This is where insulin resistance enters our story.
Imagine insulin as the traffic police of your body. 👮‍♀️

Normally, the cells respond to insulin and allow glucose to enter.

But when the cells become less responsive to insulin, the pancreas tries to compensate:

Less response → more insulin → glucose may still look normal.

So insulin resistance does not automatically mean prediabetes.

For a while, your body may work harder behind the scenes to keep your blood glucose in range.

And that's why looking at fasting glucose alone may not tell the whole metabolic story. When clinically appropriate, fasting insulin alongside fasting glucose can provide additional information.

But here's the BIG question:
Why do cells become resistant to insulin in the first place?

That's where our next story begins. 🏙️

Because when you understand your body, healthy choices stop feeling confusing. ❤️

Your health is not built by one perfect meal, one intense workout, or one “good” day.

It’s built by the small choices you repeat — what you eat, how you move, how you sleep, how you manage stress, and how consistently you show up for yourself. 💚

Small steps. Consistent action. A stronger you.

What’s one small health choice you’re making today? 👇

BODY STORIES WITH ROLI | Episode 2: Meet Insulin 👮‍♂️🚚

In Episode 1, we saw hundreds of glucose trucks entering the bloodstream after a meal.

But there was one big question…

Who tells these trucks where to go?

Meet insulin — the traffic police of our body. 👮‍♂️

After a meal, insulin helps direct glucose: 💪 To muscles → for use as energy

🏭 To the liver → for storage as glycogen

🟡 And when energy is in excess → the body can store some of that excess as fat

That’s why insulin is often called a storage hormone.
And remember:

Insulin isn't the villain.

It is part of the system that helps manage the traffic.
But what happens when the city's factories stop listening to the traffic police? 👀

That's where our next story begins…

Episode 3: Insulin Resistance.

BODY STORIES WITH ROLI

Episode 1: Why Does Blood Sugar Rise after eating ?

Most people are told:
❌ "Sugar is bad."

But very few are taught what actually happens inside the body after we eat.

So instead of using complicated medical terms, I want to tell you a story.

Imagine your body as a city... Blood vessels as roads... And glucose as tiny trucks carrying energy.

Once you understand this one story, insulin, fatty liver, PCOS, and diabetes will start making much more sense.

This is Episode 1 of Body Stories with Roli—a series where we'll learn how the human body works through simple stories anyone can understand.

💬 Tell me in the comments: What did you learn today that you never knew before?

❤️ Save this reel and share it with someone who wants to understand diabetes instead of just fearing it.

"You don't support, you don't help." Heard that after a day you could barely get through?

You're not lazy — your blood sugar, gut, hormones, or sleep might be running on empty, and it's showing up as exactly what everyone calls laziness.

Swipe through. If even one slide feels like it's describing you, that's not a coincidence — that's your body asking to be checked, not judged.
