મોટાભાગના હર્નિયામાં Surgery જરૂરી બને છે?

હર્નિયા થયો હોય તો માત્ર દવાથી તે સંપૂર્ણપણે મટી જાય છે?

સામાન્ય રીતે દવાથી હર્નિયાનો મૂળ નબળો ભાગ રિપેર થતો નથી. લક્ષણોવાળા, મોટા અથવા તકલીફ આપતા હર્નિયામાં ઘણીવાર Surgery દ્વારા Repair કરવાની સલાહ આપવામાં આવે છે.

પરંતુ દરેક હર્નિયામાં તરત Surgery જરૂરી હોય એવું નથી. કેટલાક નાના અને ઓછા લક્ષણવાળા Inguinal Herniaમાં ડૉક્ટરની દેખરેખ હેઠળ Watchful Waiting પણ યોગ્ય હોઈ શકે છે.

હર્નિયાની Surgeryમાં Watchful Waiting રાખી શકાય?

હર્નિયા થયો એટલે તરત જ Surgery કરાવવી પડે?
જરૂરી નથી — પરંતુ આ દરેક દર્દી માટે યોગ્ય નથી.

ખાસ કરીને નાના અને ઓછા અથવા કોઈ લક્ષણો ન હોય એવા Inguinal Hernia ધરાવતા કેટલાક પુરુષોમાં ડૉક્ટરની દેખરેખ હેઠળ Watchful Waiting રાખી શકાય છે. આ દરમિયાન નિયમિત follow-up અને લક્ષણો પર નજર રાખવી જરૂરી છે.

પરંતુ જો દુખાવો વધે, રોજિંદા કામમાં તકલીફ થાય, ગાંઠ અંદર ન જાય, અચાનક ગંભીર દુખાવો, ઉલટી અથવા ગાંઠમાં વધારે સોજો/લાલાશ થાય, તો તાત્કાલિક તબીબી તપાસ જરૂરી છે.

એટલે હર્નિયામાં Watchful Waiting કે Surgery?
તેનો નિર્ણય Herniaનો પ્રકાર, કદ, લક્ષણો અને દર્દીની સ્થિતિ પ્રમાણે Surgeon કરે છે.

હર્નિયાથી શું તકલીફ થઈ શકે?

પેટમાં ગાંઠ કે ઉપસેલો ભાગ દેખાય છે?
તો તેને માત્ર સામાન્ય ગાંઠ સમજીને Ignore ન કરો. તે Hernia હોઈ શકે છે.

હર્નિયાના કારણે થઈ શકે છે:
• પેટ અથવા જાંઘના ભાગમાં ગાંઠ/ઉપસેલો ભાગ
• દુખાવો અથવા ભારેપણું
• ઉધરસ, છીંક કે વજન ઉઠાવવાથી તકલીફ વધવી
• રોજિંદી પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં અસ્વસ્થતા

કેટલાક કિસ્સામાં હર્નિયા અંદર ફસાઈ પણ શકે છે, તેથી અચાનક વધતો દુખાવો, ઉલટી અથવા ગાંઠ અંદર ન જતી હોય તો તાત્કાલિક તબીબી તપાસ જરૂરી છે.

Umbilical Hernia એટલે શું? અને તેની Surgery કેવી રીતે થાય છે?

પેટની નાભિ પાસે ગાંઠ કે ઉપસેલો ભાગ દેખાય છે?
તો તે Umbilical Hernia હોઈ શકે છે.

Umbilical Hernia ત્યારે થાય છે જ્યારે નાભિની આસપાસના પેટના સ્નાયુઓના નબળા ભાગમાંથી અંદરની ચરબી અથવા આંતરડાનો ભાગ બહાર તરફ bulge થાય છે.

સામાન્ય લક્ષણો:
• નાભિ પાસે ગાંઠ અથવા સોજો
• ઉધરસ કે વજન ઉઠાવવાથી ગાંઠ વધુ દેખાવવી
• પેટમાં અસ્વસ્થતા અથવા દુખાવો

Surgery કેવી રીતે થાય છે?

Umbilical Herniaની સારવારમાં દર્દીની સ્થિતિ અને herniaના કદ પ્રમાણે Open અથવા Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Surgery પસંદ કરવામાં આવી શકે છે. Surgery દરમિયાન herniaને અંદર પાછું મૂકીને પેટની નબળી જગ્યાને stitchesથી repair કરવામાં આવે છે અને કેટલાક કેસમાં mesh દ્વારા તેને વધુ મજબૂત કરવામાં આવે છે.

હર્નિયા એટલે શું?
