Blurred vision after cataract surgery? Sometimes the reason may not be what patients expect. 👁️

This patient presented with decreased vision after cataract surgery due to a Descemet Membrane Detachment (DMD) — a condition where the inner corneal layer separates, leading to corneal edema and blurry vision.

✨ With timely diagnosis and air injection (Descemetopexy), we were able to reattach the membrane and help the patient regain vision.

🔍 Early diagnosis matters. Not every post-cataract blurred vision is permanent — some conditions are highly treatable when identified in time.

One habit is silently making your keratoconus worse every single day — and most patients don’t
know it.
Swipe through to understand what’s actually happening to your cornea, why your glasses keep
changing, and what we wish every patient knew sooner.
If you’ve been told you have “high number” or “astigmatism” for years — please get a corneal
topography done. It changes everything.

“Vision had gradually become blurry due to Granular Corneal Dystrophy at a young age. 👁️

After detailed evaluation, we performed PTK (Phototherapeutic Keratectomy) laser treatment to improve corneal clarity and visual quality. ✨

Hearing positive feedback and seeing the patient regain confidence in daily life is always special. 🙏🏻

Thank you for trusting us with your eye care journey.”

In this case discussion, we discuss a patient with post-RK (Radial Keratotomy) cornea suffering from fluctuating vision for 15–20 years.

Post-RK corneas can be highly unpredictable due to corneal instability and irregular astigmatism, making spectacle correction difficult. After detailed evaluation, the patient was managed with a Scleral Contact Lens, achieving BCVA 6/6 ✨

A reminder that even complex corneal cases can often be rehabilitated without surgery with the right diagnosis and customized approach.

Have you heard of scleral lenses before? 👁️

“After multiple eye surgeries and reduced vision, this patient underwent a DSEK (Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty) surgery with us. 🙏🏻✨
Seeing the smile and confidence return after recovery is the most rewarding part of cornea practice.

Every complex corneal case needs patience, precision, timely follow-up and trust between surgeon and patient.

Thank you for trusting us with your vision. 👁️”

“I was scared my vision would keep getting worse…” 👁️

This patient was diagnosed with Keratoconus, where the cornea becomes thin and irregular, causing progressive vision loss.

We performed Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking — a procedure that helps stabilize the cornea and stop progression.

💬 Today, the patient shares their experience and recovery journey.

✔️ Early diagnosis is crucial
✔️ CXL can prevent worsening
✔️ Regular follow-up is key

If your number is increasing rapidly or vision is fluctuating — don’t ignore it.

Cornea not clearing after cataract surgery? 👁️

This could be post-cataract corneal decompensation — a condition where the inner layer of the cornea (endothelium) fails to maintain clarity, leading to persistent swelling and blurred vision.

🔍 Common signs:
• Vision not improving after surgery
• Persistent corneal edema
• Glare, halos
• Morning blurring

⚠️ High-risk cases include:
• Pre-existing low endothelial count
• Fuchs’ dystrophy
• Complicated or prolonged surgery

💡 Early recognition is key — treatment may range from medical management to procedures like endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK/DMEK).

Don’t ignore delayed visual recovery after cataract surgery. Timely intervention can restore vision.

When glasses keep changing even after LASIK 👁️
It’s not always a simple number change.

In some cases, it could be Keratoconus — a condition where the cornea gradually weakens and changes shape.
Early diagnosis with advanced corneal imaging is key to protecting vision.

If you’ve had LASIK and your number is still fluctuating, don’t ignore it.

Meet this patient—once facing a sight-threatening perforation with an intraocular foreign body—now seeing unaided 6/6P after timely repair. Outcomes like this remind us why precision and timing matter.
