It's been 7 years since I started my career in teaching Yoga & Vedic counselling. And 7 is a number that carries meaning in Vedanta.
✨There are 7 planes of existence, Lokas.
✨In the Brahma Sutras, there are 7 sense organs, the 5 Jnanendriyas, Manas & Buddhi.
✨There 7 grahas (planets) each associated to one day of the week.
✨ Surya, the Sun God, rides a chariot pulled by 7 horses representing the 7 rays of sun and 7 colours.
✨ In the subtle spine, there are 7 main Chakras.
✨ Brahma created 7 ancient sages from his mind, the Saptarishis.
✨There are 7 basic notes in classical Indian music.
✨In Ayurveda there are 7 dhatus, tissues.
And the list goes on...
Number 7 encapsulates a holistic view of life, encompassing spirituality, humanity and the cosmos.
7 years ago I travelled to India for the first time to take on a 500h YTT in Rishikesh, and then I travelled solo (for the first time on another continent) for 3 months.
It was in the hills of Uttarakhand and the peaks of the Himalayas that I found myself, and discovered the feeling of being at home. Arrived. Settled. Content.
This is a feeling I rarely experience otherwise in my day to day life, but I learned to live with it.
For 7 years I didn't return to India. I tried, but something always intervened. Eventually I gave up trying, and told myself that I will return when the time is right, and tried to reconstruct the feeling of home where I was.
In the meantime I met my husband, who comes from India. We fell in love, because we were brought together by devotion.
This year, after 7 years I returned to India. The hills and the mountains called me, finally, and I went back eager to answer the call.
As I reached the 7 years threshold, I understood what sits at the core of my work in the world.
It's not my knowledge, it's my devotion.
I thought Yoga would become a job, but it turned into a way of life.
It taught me what it means to live in rhythm with cosmology, balancing the physical with the subtle, and connecting the material with the esoteric.
I am good at what I do not because I dedicated the past 7 years to in depth study, but because I learned how to live what I studied. Mystical turned practical.
And this is my work in the world. If you feel called to work & study with me, I am preparing a container using my unique framework to support you in living a harmonius & purposeful life.
Follow along if you are ready for this.
With devotion,
