For years, Mo Naga has dedicated his life to documenting, preserving, and reviving the traditional tattoo practices of the Naga tribes of Northeast India. Through extensive field research, conversations with tribal elders, and the revival of indigenous hand-tapping techniques, he has helped ensure that generations of cultural knowledge are not lost to time.
His work goes far beyond tattooing. It is about identity, history, community, and the preservation of one of India’s oldest living artistic traditions. Today, his research and efforts have gained international recognition, bringing the rich tattoo heritage of Northeast India to museums, publications, and audiences around the world.
