Dr Hedgewar College of Nursing (DHCN) brings together a diverse cohort of students from both rural and urban backgrounds, creating opportunities for meaningful careers in the nursing profession while strengthening their financial stability.

Nearly 60–70% of students come from rural regions of Marathwada and Vidarbha. Many belong to farming families and villages with limited access to medical facilities, making this opportunity transformative not just for individuals, but for entire communities.

Their student placement cell helps graduating nurses establish connections with top healthcare organizations, which facilitates their transition from educational programs to professional employment. The Dr. Hedgewar Hospital network located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and BAVP's Shri Guruji Rugnalaya in Nashik operate direct recruitment programs for many students.

At Dr. Hedgewar Rugnalaya, students and alumni of Dr. Hedgewar College of Nursing (DHCN) gain real-world experience in a high volume tertiary care hospital. The trust has treated more than 𝟴𝟬 𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟵 while serving approximately 𝟰 𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 and conducting 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝟬+ 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 visits every day.

The hospital performs advanced procedures which include dialysis, angioplasties, open heart surgeries, retina screenings and joint replacements. Nurses develop their clinical skills and their ability to provide compassionate care because 𝟳𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀.
