120 industries has joined SMS WCPL for the treatment and safe disposal of their effluent. Major effluent generating industries discharge their effluent through underground pipeline Located in Waluj MIDC, while remaining 60 industries send their effluent by tankers Special Treatment SMS WCPL. Activated sludge process with diffused Aeration system is used for the treatment industrial effluent Treated effluent is discharged, for tree plantation, gardening & excess treated effluent disposed at designated point approved by NEERI & MPCB.
CETP has IMS accreditation for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The facility won prestigious “Vasundhara Award” in 2016 for its environmental excellence & CETP management.

We are gratified to share that M/s. SMS WALUJ CETP PVT. LTD. Waluj, Aurangabad has been awarded “VASUNDHARA AWARD 2016” by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Environment Department, Govt. of Maharashtra in the category of Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Mumbai on 7th June 2016 from the hands of Hon. Chief Minster Shri. Devendra Fadnavis in the presence of Environment Minister Hon. Shri. Ramdas Bhai Kadam, Minister of State Hon. Shri. Pravin Pote Patil, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra Shri.Swadheen Kshatriya and the Member Secretary of MPCB Shri. Dr. P. Anbalagan. Every year Vasundhara Award is given to Industries, Urban local bodies, CETP’s which made significant contribution towards environment conservation in the state of Maharashtra through viable & cost effective means.
