ISSP Karnataka in association with the Pain and Palliative care unit, Department of Anaesthesiology and Dept of Anatomy JSS Medical College Mysuru organised
“ Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound guided Cadaveric Workshop on Chronic Pain". on 6 th July 2025 in Heritage city & Royal city of palaces Mysuru under the leadership of President ISSP Karnataka Dr. Pratibha Matche and Hon secretary Dr Sadasivan Iyer

With 46 enthusiastic participants, the response was truly overwhelming.
What made this workshop special was the unique blend of learning on dissected cadaveric specimens along with dedicated ultrasound and fluoroscopy stations.

Participants greatly appreciated the low delegate-to-station ratio, ensuring ample hands-on time, personalized guidance, and enhanced learning.
The sessions were led by renowned faculty in Pain Medicine, whose patience and clarity made a significant difference. conducting this workshop in my own medical college was a moment of great pride and joy.

Grateful to all who made this a success!

ISSP Karnataka had the pleasure of hosting Dr Atmaja Thottungal , a renowned pain physician and Life style management consultant from Kent , UK for a wonderful session on MSK pain management . The event was presided by Dr Pratibha Matche ( President ISSP Karnataka ) and Dr Murali Thondebhavi ( President Elect ISSP Karnataka ). Dr Atamaja gave a wonderful talk on missed and misdiagnosed pain conundrums, followed by live volunteer scanning . Dr Sadasivan ( Secretary ISSP) then delivered the vote of thanks and the session was concluded over dinner with Dr Atmaja guiding young pain physicians about the EDPM exam process and preparations.

The event was attended by an enthusiastic group of pain physicians across Karnataka and the Secretariat is thankful to all of them for making the event a successful one . We look forward to more such wonderful meetings .

🎈🎈As a part of ISSP Foundation Day Celebration, ISSP Karnataka in association with ISA Mysore conducted CME on "Neuropathic Pain " to explore and understand the intricacies of neuropathic pain with overwhelming response of 140 registrations.

❇️Expert faculties from all over Karnataka were invited for the CME to share their experiences!

🌀All the talks were excellent with a lot of discussion from the audience!

♻️The highlight of the CME was the participation of the multidisciplinary team from different specialties like Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine, Orthopedics, Dermatology, General Medicine, Surgery, Neurology & Occupational therapy etc.

✅ Through this CME, along with education and collaboration, we have definitely increased awareness of neuropathic pain as well as about Pain Medicine.
