The Hollywood classic ‘Radio’ drives home a powerful message of discovery and empathy.

Stories centered around the lives of persons with disabilities are often handled with a certain fragility—and at times, unfortunately, reduced to sentimentality.

But Radio is different.

It gently but firmly shifts the lens from “what someone cannot do” to “what someone brings into the lives of others.” It reinforced something we at Akshadhaa have been witnessing every day—that inclusion is not an act of charity; it is an opportunity.

An opportunity to experience life more fully, to unlearn our assumptions, and to rediscover joy in its simplest, most genuine form.

Creating something new shouldn't have to result in the destruction of something precious.

The expansion of construction footprint for the Akshadhaa Assisted Living Community did not come at the expense of trees.

Through a fruitful partnership with Hyderabad-based Green Morning Horticulture Services Pvt Ltd, we were able to successfully transplant over a dozen trees.

We wouldn't uproot a special needs individual from their home and forget about them. The relocation must not only preserve life but also enrich it.

We believe that nature deserves as much respect. Only then can the community enjoy harmony.

Our dedicated team has built our own horizon!

The family block is almost complete. It will house 50+ neurodiverse individuals and their families.

Equipped with learning and engagement facilities, the block is intended to be a transition phase for Special Needs Individuals (SNIs). They have the comfort of being with their loved ones while being trained to lead an independent and productive life.

In time, they will move to their own home in the upcoming SNI block. Connected with their families but not dependent on them.

Probably for the first time, parents can enjoy life without feeling guilty and worrying about what happens to their children after them.

That is a priceless feeling!

We are delighted to have received ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Akshadhaa has never been about doing ‘just enough’. We like to continuously challenge ourselves to be better, to be more disciplined and trustworthy. That is the only way we can deliver meaningful value to our entire ecosystem.

More than CSR funding, we seek long-lasting partnerships that drive tangible outcomes, be it education, care or employment for the neurodiverse.

The journey towards securing the certification wasn’t easy. As a matter of fact, it took two years.

Akshadhaa has always stood by transparency and accountability. But documentation and process control, so inherent to a commercial enterprise, was a completely new ballgame for our team members used to a more intuitive NGO culture. They took time but enjoyed the journey.

The goal was and is to make Akshadhaa’s systems bullet-proof to personnel changes. Towards this end, we have invested in a comprehensive ERP platform. We hope to achieve full visibility of micro and macro elements of the organisation within a couple of months.

Work on developing the Akshadhaa Assisted Living Community is proceeding at a furious pace. The development of leading-edge facilities as hardware is being complemented by Akshadhaa Foundation’s proven competencies dedicated to crafting a sustainable and productive life for the neurodiverse.
