Managing a chronic condition isn't a single decision β€” it's thousands of them, taken one dose at a time, often for life.
On Chronic Disease Awareness Day, we're thinking about adherence: the quiet factor that determines whether good medicine actually works. A large share of adults struggles to take solid medications as prescribed β€” because of swallowing difficulty, complex regimens, or simple daily fatigue.
This is the gap Lyrus designs into. EZYDOZ-XR transforms immediate-release drugs into once-daily liquid sustained-release for conditions like diabetes and ADHD. Our Dispersible MUPS lets extended-release medication be taken whole or dispersed in water for those who can't swallow tablets. Better adherence isn't only about reminding patients β€” it's about designing dosage forms that fit real lives.

Every formulation we design begins with a question a clinician asked first: how do we make this easier for the patient in front of me?
This National Doctors' Day, we honour India's physicians β€” and we pause on the 2026 theme, β€œBehind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?” The people who carry our health often carry the heaviest load in silence.
At Lyrus, our patient-inspired platforms β€” from EZYDOZ-XR liquid sustained-release to ORAMELT mouth-melting crystals β€” exist because doctors told us where conventional dosage forms fall short: the child who won't swallow, the elderly patient who can't, the caregiver counting hours between doses. Thank you for being our toughest critics and our clearest compass.
To every doctor: today we thank you. And we hope you'll let someone care for you, too.

World Blood Donor Day 2026

Every donation tells a story of someone who chose to give a stranger a second chance at life. Today, we honour the millions of voluntary blood donors whose quiet generosity sustains healthcare systems around the world.

Safe blood saves lives β€” in surgeries, in emergencies, in the treatment of chronic conditions like sickle cell disease and thalassemia, and in the fight against cancer. Yet the need for safe blood and blood products far outpaces supply in many parts of the world.

At Lyrus, healthcare is not just what we develop in our laboratories β€” it is the ecosystem of care we believe in. Through our group’s commitment to community health, including Bothra Foundation’s decades of free medical services in Bangalore, we understand that saving lives often begins with the simplest acts of generosity.

Donate blood. Save a life. Be someone’s reason to survive.

πŸ† A Proud Moment for Lyrus !
Heartiest congratulations to Chitra Varma for winning in the 'Rising Stars' category at the hashtag Leadership Awards 2026, held on 5th June 2026 at Le MeridiΓ©n Hyderabad β€” presented by CILICANT and powered by Pioma Chemicals.
This recognition reflects the talent, dedication and forward-thinking spirit that drive our work every day. It is especially meaningful given the moment our industry finds itself in.
For five decades, India's pharma sector built the world's most efficient generics engine β€” defined by scale, reliability and global trust. That strength endures. But we are now entering a new chapter, one shaped by innovation, biologics and advanced drug delivery science. As Indian companies move deeper into complex generics, biosimilars and specialty medicines β€” and as AI begins to reshape discovery and formulation β€” leaders like Chitra are exactly the kind of talent this "Second Act" demands.
At Lyrus, building patient-inspired drug delivery technologies has always been at the heart of what we do. Seeing that vision recognised on a national platform is a moment of real pride for the entire team.
Congratulations once again, Chitra. This is well-earned. πŸ‘

June is Migraine & Headache Awareness Month

Over 1 billion people worldwide suffer from migraines β€” making it the third most prevalent illness on the planet. Yet it remains widely misunderstood, underdiagnosed, and undertreated. A migraine is not just a headache. It is a complex neurological condition that can be profoundly debilitating.

At Lyrus, pain management is personal. We have developed our proprietary ORAMELT platform β€” mouth-melting crystals that dissolve in the oral cavity within seconds β€” is designed precisely for moments when every second of pain matters, offering rapid onset for speciality and critical care patients.

This Migraine & Headache Awareness Month, we stand with the billion people who know that a migraine is never β€œjust a headache.”

National Cancer Survivors Day 2026

Today we celebrate every survivor, every fighter, and every family that has faced cancer with courage and resilience. National Cancer Survivors Day is a reminder that early detection saves lives β€” and that behind every statistic is a human story of hope.

At Lyrus, our commitment to healthcare extends beyond the laboratory. Through Bothra Foundation β€” the CSR arm of Lyrus, established in 1999 by our Chairman Mr C P Bothra under the Chandanmal Pukhraj Bothra Trust β€” we have been conducting free cancer screening camps in Bangalore to help detect cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.

For over 27 years, Bothra Foundation has provided free medical services to economically disadvantaged communities across oncology, diabetes care, ophthalmology, cardiology, and more.

Because the best cancer treatment begins before it becomes cancer. Early screening changes everything.

World Digestive Health Day 2026
Your digestive system does far more than process food β€” it powers immunity, influences mental health, and determines how well your body absorbs the nutrients it needs to thrive. Yet digestive disorders like IBS, acid reflux, Crohn's disease, and celiac disease affect hundreds of millions worldwide, often silently.

At Lyrus, digestive health sits at the heart of our innovation. Our proprietary EZYDOZ-XR platform β€” a liquid sustained-release technology designed to work over 12 to 24 hours β€” was developed with real patients in mind: paediatric, geriatric, and dysphagic populations who need effective GI therapies in forms they can actually take.

From complex oral liquids to sustained-release formulations, we are reimagining how digestive treatments are designed and delivered across global markets.

Because better digestive health starts with better pharmaceutical thinking.

Over 10 million people worldwide live with Inflammatory Bowel Disease β€” conditions like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis that profoundly impact daily life, from nutrition and energy to emotional well-being.

This year's theme, "IBD Has No Borders: Access to Care," is a call we deeply resonate with. At Lyrus, our expertise in oral solid and oral liquid dosage forms β€” including advanced sustained-release platforms β€” is driven by a belief that innovative, patient-friendly formulations can bridge the gap between diagnosis and effective treatment.

From our R&D labs in Bangalore to regulated markets across the UK, EU, Australia, and beyond, we are working to ensure that geography never determines the quality of care a patient receives.

Access to IBD care is not a privilege. It is a right.

1.4 billion people worldwide live with hypertension β€” and nearly half don't know it. Often called the "silent killer," high blood pressure remains the leading preventable cause of premature death globally.

At Lyrus , we believe that access to effective, affordable medication is a cornerstone of hypertension control. Our growing portfolio of quality generic pharmaceuticals for regulated markets is part of a larger mission: ensuring that life-saving treatments reach the patients who need them most.

This World Hypertension Day, as the global community rallies around the theme "Controlling Hypertension Together!" β€” we reaffirm our commitment to developing differentiated products that make chronic disease management more accessible.

Know your numbers. Control your pressure. Live longer.
