The Wind Chimes Speech, Hearing & Psychology team had the privilege of participating in the Health Drive 2026 at Sunshine Smart Kids, in collaboration with Neem Tree Ayurveda & Nature Cure Hospital. It was a wonderful opportunity to conduct Speech, Hearing & Psychology screenings, promote awareness about communication, hearing, and mental well-being, and interact with children and their families.

From early screening and guidance to creating awareness about timely intervention, we were delighted to contribute towards supporting every child’s overall growth and development. It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiastic participation of the students, parents, and the school community. 💙👂🗣️🧠

A heartfelt thank you to Sunshine Smart Kids for the warm hospitality and seamless coordination, and to Neem Tree Ayurveda & Nature Cure Hospital for the opportunity to collaborate on this meaningful initiative. Today, she is playing doctor. Tomorrow, she may become one. 🩺💛

Looking at this smile, it's easy to see a child having fun. But behind this moment is a journey filled with courage, determination, support, and countless learning experiences.
A cochlear implant is not just a device that helps a child hear. It is a bridge to communication, learning, friendships, confidence, and independence. Every new sound becomes an opportunity to learn something new about the world.

This little one is pretending to be a doctor today—listening with a stethoscope, exploring, imagining, and dreaming. These simple play moments are powerful. They help children develop language, social skills, creativity, and confidence.

For parents beginning the cochlear implant journey, remember that progress may come one sound, one word, and one conversation at a time. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. Those small victories eventually become big achievements.

Children with hearing loss are not defined by what they cannot hear. They are defined by their potential, their resilience, and their dreams.

Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) are common in Parkinson’s disease and can significantly impact nutrition, hydration, and overall quality of life.

⚠️ Watch for signs such as:
✔️ Coughing or choking while eating/drinking
✔️ Food feeling stuck in the throat
✔️ Wet or gurgly voice after meals
✔️ Taking longer to finish meals
✔️ Unexplained weight loss
✔️ Frequent chest infections

Huge thanks to Ms. Preeti Lodaya of Redwood Financial Strategists for organizing a fantastic session on Hearing Health with the KDO (Kutchi Dasa Oswal) community at Kachi Bhawan, JP Nagar!

It was a privilege for Wind Chimes - The Hearing Clinic to connect with the group and discuss "The Sound of Connection." Harisha Gowthamisha_gowtham_nb shared valuable insights on how maintaining hearing health is vital for staying engaged, preventing social isolation, and protecting our "social fitness."
