RETURN TO AUTHENTIC WHOLENESS
The and the Within Me
There was a time when I believed that healing meant becoming only light.
Calm. Loving. Peaceful. Always understanding.
The path often speaks about rising into , embodying compassion, and aligning with the soul.
And for a long time, I thought that meant leaving behind the parts of me that felt messy — anger, jealousy, shame , resentment, fear.
Those parts felt like failures of the spirit.
So, like many of us, I learned to hide them.
Society teaches us very early which emotions are acceptable and which ones must remain unseen.
We are praised for being agreeable, kind, and composed.
But when we express rage, grief, insecurity, or even deep longing, we are often told to quiet down, move on, or be stronger.
Slowly, we begin to exile pieces of ourselves.
Those exiled pieces form what we call the shadow.
The is not darkness in the way we fear it to be. It is simply the collection of feelings, instincts, and truths that were never given permission to exist openly.
But the soul does not seek perfection.
The seeks .
At some point in my journey, I realized something that changed the way I looked at healing: the parts of me I was trying to silence were not enemies. They were .
My was showing me where my boundaries had been crossed.
My was revealing desires I had never allowed myself to admit.
My was pointing to wounds that still needed compassion.
The was not trying to destroy me.
It was trying to teach me.
became the turning point.
Instead of rejecting those darker emotions, I began to sit with them. To listen. To understand the wisdom hidden beneath the discomfort.
And something profound happened.
The inner war softened.
The light within me did not need to fight the darkness anymore. It simply illuminated it. Like a lantern in a quiet room, awareness revealed what had been hidden — not as something shameful, but as something deeply human.
That is when begins.
When we accept the shadow with compassion, its energy changes. Pain becomes insight. Fear becomes sensitivity. Anger becomes strength and clarity.
, when met with awareness, turns into wisdom.
This is the paradox of the soul’s journey.
We are not here to become beings of pure light.
We are here to integrate the light and the dark — to recognize that both are part of the same sacred landscape within us.
is not about removing the shadows.
It is about learning to walk with a lantern.
And when we do, we discover that even the darkest corners of the self carry the seeds of awakening. ✨
