Hello!
Happy New Year to our energetic volunteers. Hope you had a good kick-start of this year. First of all, A Big Thank you to all of you for supporting us for all the events and activities. We have more events coming this year. We will keep you posted!
Just a quick update of of Last year events from October to December 2018!
In the month of October we conducted Inclusive Dance festival in Bangalore and Chennai as part of Dhaan Utsav. At Chennai we visited our young visually impaired children at Sethu Bhaskar School. Also, we had FingerChat sessions at various corporates like Black Pearl, Allegis, etc. Deaf Super League at Christ School. Our volunteers interacting with Sign Language and scoring sixes and fours in outmost sportsmanship.
In collaboration with Bikat Adventures a Blind Trek was organised at Nandi Hills with visually impared candidates and volunteers, Trekking up the Nandi Hills, with audio and tactile description and viewing the mesmerising sun set and sessions on Indian Sign Language and Mountaineering experiences by our guide.
In the month of November, Movie Screening at Enable India of candidates and volunteers. The movie, Ratatouille with a great message was screened. Our volunteers really enjoyed this anime movie.
December 2018, World Disability Day was celebrated with a Mega event, 'VANDANAM- Inclusive Cultural Night'. Persons with and without disability rocked the show. Mimicry acting and Blind Bhangra workshop by Shailesh P Kulal, Beating boxing by , Band, MJ Dance by , graceful and energetic dance by Annie Gowtham Briella and a fantastic and first ever fashion show by Reshma Jagadish. Our volunteers always run the show and its a grand success. Thank you one and all who made this event a huge success.
In collaboration with Smileys, Enable Community was part of LASYA TANDAV. Interacting with children, volunteers owning the event, dance by our kids with perfection. It was a great experience as a whole.
