INDIAN Healthcare đŽđŗ
A 51-year-old British man, Jean Paul, travelled over 6,800 km to India for a double knee replacement after facing a reported three-year wait through the UKâs NHS. According to his account, private treatment in the UK was estimated at around ÂŖ40,000, while his medical package in India cost about ÂŖ14,000 a difference of roughly âš33 lakh. He underwent bilateral knee replacement at Max Healthcare and received specialised aftercare and physiotherapy before returning to the UK. The story has sparked debate online over healthcare costs, waiting times and Indiaâs growing medical-tourism appeal.
