International Nurses day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at . The programme was graced by Mr. Fakrul Din, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Majid Jahangir attended as the Guest of Honour.

The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Dilshada Wani. Ms. Afshana Qadri, Faculty at GNC Baramulla and Organising Secretary of the programme, administered the pledge to B.Sc Nursing students.

A research presentation session was also organised during the programme, where different student research groups presented their work on various healthcare and nursing-related topics. Positions were awarded to the best-performing research groups in recognition of their outstanding presentations and academic efforts.

Other faculty members including Dr. Arshid Nazir Shah and Kousar ul Islam also played a vital role in making the programme successful. The students of the college actively participated and added great spirit to the celebration.
