Langur Sarai – near Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh,
is a small, family-run jungle homestay in a beautiful and peaceful rural setting near Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. We accommodate up to 16–20 guests and are looking for reliable, friendly people to join our small team.
We are looking for a Cook and a Housekeeper. We are happy to consider a couple or two separate people.
The Cook will be responsible for preparing daily meals for guests and the homestay team.
Duties include:
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
- Indian home-style vegetarian and non-vegetarian cooking
- Basic Chinese and Continental cooking is an advantage, but not essential
- Serving meals and helping with clearing and washing up
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- Maintaining food stocks and inventory
- Helping with other homestay tasks when required
The Housekeeper will help keep the homestay clean, comfortable and welcoming for guests.
Duties include:
- Cleaning and maintaining 5 guest rooms and bathrooms
- Cleaning common indoor areas, verandahs and outdoor terraces
- Laundry and ironing
- Serving and clearing meals, tea and coffee
- Deep cleaning as required
- Maintaining cleaning and linen supplies
- Basic guest service
- Helping with other homestay tasks when required
Previous hotel, homestay or housekeeping experience is an advantage. Training will be provided.
We are looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, flexible and comfortable working as part of a small team. A friendly attitude and willingness to help with different tasks are important.
