KLE Technological University's School of Law Inaugurated
KLE Technological University formally inaugurated its new School of Law, with Hon'ble Dr. Justice Krishna S. Dixit, Former Judge of the High Court of Karnataka and Orissa, presiding as Chief Guest. The School offers B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B. (Hons.), and LL.M. programmes.
Prof. (Dr.) J. M. Mallikarjunaiah, Dean, Faculty of Law and Principal, KLE Law College, Bengaluru, traced the KLE Society's decades-long contribution to legal education, noting that this marks the seventh law college under the Society's umbrella.
In his inaugural address, Justice Dixit spoke on the responsibility law students carry as future custodians of justice — underscoring the centrality of the Indian Constitution to legal education and drawing on the Indian Knowledge System to highlight its relevance to contemporary legal thought. He urged the first cohort to aspire toward becoming future judges, advocate generals, and eminent lawyers.
Mr. Shashikantha C, Former Assistant Solicitor General of India, invoked the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, encouraging students to build careers on discipline, purpose, and service — undistracted by materialistic pursuits.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Tewari, Vice Chancellor, KLE Technological University, followed by faculty introductions, a walkthrough of the programme structure, and an interactive session with parents. Prof. B.B. Kotturshettar, Dean, Academics, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
A proud moment as we welcome our first cohort of law students at KLE Tech.
