Cancer treatment has saved millions of lives—but chemotherapy often comes with a heavy cost, damaging healthy cells along with cancerous ones.
A Bhubaneswar startup, Exsure, believes there could be a better way.
Founded by PhD researchers Sw****ka Paul and Abhishek Dutta, Exsure is developing an exosome-based drug delivery platform that aims to carry chemotherapy directly to cancer cells while minimising damage to healthy tissue. It also targets cancer stem cells, a key reason many cancers return after treatment.
The startup has raised ₹3 crore to advance its research, though the treatment is still years away from reaching patients.
If successful, it could reshape how chemotherapy is delivered not by making it stronger, but by making it smarter.
