‘The Shelter’ was established on November 22nd 2004 and its principle objectives was to work for the poor and downtrodden, providing shelter, food and clothing to the poor. As the organization traversed through its journey it was felt to expand our ambit in providing proper and affordable healthcare to families to the people below the poverty line. Today ‘The Shelter’ has completed a decade of glo
rious and dedicated work towards women and child development, orphan children education, providing financial assistance towards better healthcare and houses to persons living under the BPL category whose annual income is more than 20,000 Indian Rupees. The dream that we planted a decade back has propelled us to expand our horizons in executing other projects that includes, plan to build a 60 bedded Charity Multispecialty Hospital about 10 Kms from Bhubaneswar. The organization also plans to build a nursing college for training nurses at subsidized rates in the ever expanding healthcare industry in India. The organization also provides its expertise with the help of experts in the field of education and protection of environment.
‘The Shelter’ has grown over the years and chalked out a path for transforming lives for a better tomorrow. Our core values are embedded in the fact that we will not rest till there is no poor is there in the country. The organizations endeavour is to spread its wings to other states to provide necessary care to the poor and needy.
