Menstrual cramps?
I always tell the women in my classes that our hip muscles, are closely tied to our nervous system's fight or flight response. When we get overwhelmed, these muscles store that tension which restricts the pelvic floor and reduces vital circulation, making your menstrual cramps and lower back pain so much worse! 😩

In today’s class, we focused on gentle hip-opening warm-ups. Slowly melting away that trapped somatic tension restores fresh blood flow to the pelvis and can offer profound, grounding relief during your cycle. 🩸✨

The "sattvic" time, when the surrounding world is more calm and less mentally stimulating is more ideal to practice mediation and pranayama (breathing techniques).
When our external environment is at it's calmest, it creates an optimal environment for the mind to relax and tune inward.
The sun's cycle provides the primary cue for melatonin release through light entering the eyes. By exposing ourselves to this natural light at dawn and dusk, it allows the body to synchronize its internal clock with the solar day for optimal health🤍🪷
