“I have fatty liver. Should I start a detox?”

Honestly, this is one of the first questions I hear after someone gets their report.

And I get it. When you see “fatty liver” on your scan, you want to fix it quickly.

But your liver doesn’t need a detox drink. It needs you to address why fat is accumulating there in the first place.

For most people, the bigger picture involves things like:
• Excess body fat, particularly around the waist
• Insulin resistance and poor blood sugar control
• Excess calories over time
• A diet high in added sugars and highly processed foods
• Low physical activity

And the good news?

Fatty liver can often improve significantly with the right lifestyle changes.

That doesn’t mean starving yourself or completely giving up carbs and fats.

It means:
🥗 Improving the quality and balance of your meals
🚶‍♀️ Moving consistently
⚖️ Working towards gradual, sustainable weight loss when appropriate
🩸 Improving blood sugar and insulin sensitivity
😴 Taking sleep and overall routine seriously

There is no magic food that “cleans” your liver.

But there is a combination of habits that can actually help your liver recover.

If you’ve recently been diagnosed with fatty liver and don’t know where to start, that’s exactly what we help with inside our 1-on-1 nutrition programs.

“Just lose weight.”

If you have PCOS, chances are you’ve heard these three words more times than you can count.

And yes, weight management can be an important part of PCOS management.

But telling a working woman to “just lose weight” without looking at why her routine makes that difficult isn’t really a plan.

What time does she actually eat?
Is she sitting in meetings for 10 hours?
Is lunch happening at 4 PM?
Is she sleeping at 1 AM?
Is she constantly relying on cafeteria food or Swiggy?

These things matter.

With my PCOS clients, I don’t want a perfect diet on paper.

I want a plan that works on their messy Monday, busy Wednesday and exhausting Friday.

Because the goal isn’t to give you another diet chart that works for 10 days.

It’s to build a way of eating that you can actually sustain while living your real life.

🌱 That’s exactly what we work on inside our 1-on-1 PCOS Nutrition Program.

If you’ve been told to “just lose weight” but have no idea how to make it work with your lifestyle:

He flies 12 days a month. Eats in hotels. Client dinners. Airport food.
And still took his HbA1c from 8.4 → 6.3 in 100 days.

The biggest problem wasn’t that he didn’t know what healthy food was.

It was that every diet plan he’d tried assumed he was sitting at home eating dal, roti and sabzi every day.

That simply wasn’t his life.

So instead of telling him to stop travelling, skip client dinners or carry his own food everywhere, we built a system around his actual routine:

✈️ What to pick at hotel breakfast buffets
🍽️ How to navigate client dinners without being “that person on a diet”
🥪 What to choose when eating at airports
🎒 And a simple non-negotiable he could follow while travelling

100 days later:
HbA1c: 8.4 → 6.3
His medication was reduced by his physician.
And he didn’t have to cancel a single dinner.

Because diabetes management doesn’t have to mean putting your life on hold.

Your lifestyle isn’t the obstacle. Your plan needs to fit your lifestyle.

If you’re constantly travelling for work and struggling to manage your blood sugars, you don’t need another generic diet chart.

You need a plan built around your actual life.

When my client found out she was pregnant🤰🏻, her doctor gave her a clear plan:

“Let’s first work on your diet and lifestyle. If your blood sugars don’t improve, we’ll have to start insulin.”

Naturally, she was anxious.

💫 So instead of chasing quick fixes, we focused on the basics and stayed consistent.

✨ Here’s what changed:
• Fibre before carbs at every meal
• A 15-minute walk after meals
• Early, consistent dinners

❌ No starving.
❌ No detoxes.
❌ No expensive supplements.

Just small, sustainable habits that she could follow every day.🌱

Three months later, her HbA1c had improved from 8.5 to 5.5, and she was able to achieve excellent blood sugar control through consistent nutrition and lifestyle changes under her doctor’s guidance.🎉

Too often, people wait for their reports to worsen before making changes.

The reality is that your daily routine has a much bigger impact than any “superfood” or temporary diet.

“Sugar-free” doesn’t always mean “diabetes-friendly.” ⚠️

One of my clients was eating sugar-free biscuits every single day, convinced they were the healthier choice.

His intention was right.
The product wasn’t.

When we reviewed his diet, one thing stood out immediately.

👉 The first ingredient was refined wheat flour (maida).

Your body doesn’t care if the biscuit says “sugar-free” on the front. It responds to what’s inside.

Refined flour is digested quickly, causing blood sugar to rise—especially when it’s eaten as a snack without enough protein or fibre.

Before buying any “diabetic-friendly” product, always ask yourself:
✔️ What’s the first ingredient?
✔️ How much fibre does it contain?
✔️ Does it have a good source of protein?

A much better snack option? 🥜
• Roasted chana
• A handful of nuts
• Unsweetened Greek yogurt
• Paneer
• Boiled eggs

Remember: Marketing labels don’t control your blood sugar. Ingredients do.

👇 Go check the ingredient list on your favourite “sugar-free” biscuits and tell me the first ingredient in the comments.

💾 Save this reel for your next grocery shopping trip and share it with someone living with diabetes—it might change what they put in their cart.

🚨 August enrolments haven’t officially opened yet for my 1-on-1 Diabetes Management Program. If you’d like to work with me directly, you can reserve your spot now under our Early Bird offer before registrations go live. 💙

Most diabetics focus on what they eat.
Very few pay attention to the order they eat it in. 👇

One simple change that can make a noticeable difference to your post-meal blood sugar is meal sequencing.

🥗 Start with your salad or non-starchy vegetables.
🥣 Then have your egg, curd, or any protein source.
🍛 Finish with your roti sabzi or dal rice.

Why does this work?

✅ Fibre slows down digestion.
✅ Protein further delays glucose absorption.
✅ By the time you eat your carbohydrates, your body is better prepared to handle the glucose load, leading to a smaller post-meal sugar spike.

The best part?
✨ You don’t need to buy any supplements.
✨ You don’t need to stop eating roti or rice.
✨ You simply change the sequence of your meal.

📌 Try this at dinner tonight and check your 2-hour post-meal blood sugar. I’d love to know if you notice the difference!

These utensils might be affecting your hormonal balance leading to disorders like PCOS, Diabetes, Hypo/hyperthyroidism and many for. Why so? Lets check it out.👇🏻

1. Chemicals can be natural or man-made, have the ability to interfere with our body’s hormones. They are called ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS. These are found in everyday products that we are exposed to and we can absorb them through our skin and lungs (breathing) which slowly gets into our system interfering with our bodies natural hormonal work.

2. When something hot is cooked or stored in plastic containers or water is stored for long duration in plastic water bottles, it leads to leaching out of many toxic elements such as Bisphenol A (BPA), Dioxins, Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS),
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE),Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) & many more.

3. Aluminium foils & utensils react with many micronutrients such as copper & zinc which are extremely crucial for insulin senstivity & for patients with PCOS & Diabetes. Aluminium can interfere with absorption of copper, zinc, iron leading to hormone imbalance.

4. Non stick utensils contain or release endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) like PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) and PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), which mimic hormones, potentially impacting fertility, thyroid, metabolism, and development, especially when overheated or scratched, releasing particles and gases that interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

5. Here are the replacements🔀
👉🏻Replace plastic with glass or steel containers

👉🏻Replace aluminium foils with cloth and paper napkins

👉🏻Replace non stick and aluminium utensils with steel & iron utensils.
START with swapping 1-2 items to start reducing your exposure to endocrine disrupters.
