Your eyes need movement, focus and rest too. 👁️🌿
We spend hours looking at phones, laptops and objects at the same close distance. Over time, this constant near-focus can contribute to eye fatigue, heaviness and dryness, especially when we forget to blink regularly. 📱💻
This simple 5-minute eye routine is designed to give your eyes a conscious break:
♾️ Tracing an infinity pattern encourages controlled eye movement in different directions.
↔️ Moving the eyes from right to left challenges the horizontal range of eye movement.
↕️ Looking up and down works the eyes through another natural movement pattern.
👀 Taking the gaze towards different directions should be done gently, without moving the neck or forcing the eyes.
🍃 Finally, fixing your gaze on a small object, preferably at a comfortable distance, trains you to pause, concentrate and shift attention away from constant screen viewing.
And do not underestimate blinking. 💧
When we concentrate on screens, our blink rate can fall, which may leave the eyes feeling dry and irritated.
The goal is not to strain your eyes.
The goal is to move them gently, blink consciously, change your focus and give them a few minutes away from relentless near-work. 🌿
Five mindful minutes for the organs that help you see the world every single day. ❤️👁️
Make eye care a habit before tired eyes force you to take a break.
