Brahmatal Trek – Part 1 ✈️🏔️
Though this Himalayan trek journey happened over a year ago, only now I felt ready to share these memories. I went on this adventure with my son, daughter, and my son’s friend — a journey that became far more challenging than I had imagined. At one point I didn’t even want to post these pictures, because this trek tested me so much. But today I see it differently — I did something tough, and I completed it.
From flight views of the majestic Trishul and Nanda Ghunti, to a soulful stop at Rishikesh, seeing street dogs tucked in blankets against the cold, cozy stays, and then onward to Lohajung base camp… the adventure unfolded.
The previous night we had a get-together, route briefing, and first-aid orientation. With health checks and warm-up sessions, we began the trek. Minus-degree weather felt like sitting inside a freezer ❄️. Being the senior-most among the four women in the group, and one among the oldest trekkers overall, managing language struggles, harsh cold, and an unexpectedly difficult trek was not easy. But step by step, I completed it.
What began as a challenge became a memory I now hold with pride. Today I’m finally sharing these moments from an unforgettable 8-day adventure. Part 2 coming soon ❤️
