Dr.Varsha Backiavathy and Dr.Sonam Poonam Nisar.
Both Dr.Varsha and Dr.Sonam have completed their fellowship in Orbit & Oculoplasty in Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. We are happy to have them back with us.😊

The 27th Sankara Nethralaya Alumni Association meeting was a runaway success. Thanks to the efforts taken by Dr. Jyotirmay Biwas, Chairman Scientific Committee,Dr. Parthopratim Dutta Majumdar and the entire team at Sankara Nethralaya .

More than 200 Alumni members from all over India attended this meeting to make it a very Grand Success. Our Chief & Mentor Dr. S.S. Badrinath gave a lovely talk on the future projects of Sankara Nethralaya and the lead for the Alumni members to support this venture. Dr. T.S.Surendra , Vice Chairman of Sankara Nethralaya took us all back to 1970’s and 80’s with his humorous anecdotes.
The theme of the conference was Debate & Discussion, It was well handled by all the Alumni members in their respective sub specialty like Cornea, Cataract, Glaucoma, Retina, Oculoplasty etc. The specialty of this meeting was that all the registered delegate received a folder with a customized 8 GB pen drive(with their name printed). In a nutshell the 27th Sankara Nethralaya Alumni Association meeting was BETTER THAN THE BEST.
As a secretary of Sankara Nethralaya Alumni Association it was a great honor and privilege for me to have organised this wonderful meet.
