SEESHA (Samiti for Education, Environment, Social and Health Action) is a non-profit organization empowering underprivileged communities across India.

Founded in the year 2003 by renowned philanthropist Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, SEESHA was originally started as a charity organisation. As the vision began to grow, its reach also widened to address the cause of downtrodden communities across India. Over the years, SEESHA’s approach has altered from charity to welfare and from welfare to holistic community development. Steadily growing into an entity of professionalism and experience, SEESHA now adopts villages in some of the poorest regions in India, working towards their holistic development. With a four-fold view of development, we focus on areas of Education, Health, Environment and Livelihood among the people we work with. Our target groups include children, youth, women, senior citizens, communities, differently-abled, persons in need of physiological and psychological care and victims of natural disasters.

FROM SKILL TO SELF-RELIANCE | A WOMAN’S JOURNEY OF TRANSFORMATION
For G. Geethapiriya, 35, from Maligaimedu Cuddalore, financial independence once seemed out of reach. A graduate from a financially challenged family, she had no independent income while her husband worked as a daily wage labourer.
Her journey began when she joined SEESHA -RSETI Collaboration Creative Jewellery Making Course. Through hands-on training, she gained not only a new skill but also the confidence to explore entrepreneurship and create an income for herself.
After completing the training, Geethapiriya received an opportunity through Government Magalir Thittam to participate in a six-day business stall. With an investment of ₹10,000 in raw materials, she generated ₹16,700 in sales—her first step into the world of business after having no income before the training.
Her experience shows that skill development becomes truly transformative when it is connected with real opportunities.
For women like Geethapiriya, a training programme is more than learning a skill. It can be the beginning of confidence, economic participation, entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
SEESHA continues to empower women with skills, opportunities and pathways towards sustainable livelihoods.

Education Material Distribution Programme – Alamathi Gypsy Community
Bhawan Cybertek, in partnership with SEESHA, extended meaningful educational support to children from the underprivileged Alamathi Gypsy Community through an Education Material Distribution Programme.
As part of this CSR initiative, children received essential education kits containing 14 different learning materials, including notebooks, stationery, school bags, lunch boxes, water bottles and other educational supplies. These resources will help children meet their basic learning needs and encourage them to continue their education with greater confidence and enthusiasm.
As part of the programme, the Bhawan Cybertek team also visited the SEESHA Vanagaram Skill Training Centre, where they interacted with beneficiaries undergoing vocational training in Tailoring, Tally Prime, Beautician and Aari Work. The visit provided an opportunity to understand SEESHA’s efforts towards skill development, livelihood support and community empowerment.
The programme was more than a distribution of educational materials—it was an expression of care, encouragement and hope for children striving to build a better future.
SEESHA sincerely appreciates Bhawan Cybertek for joining hands in this initiative and for supporting children from vulnerable communities.

From Skills to Self-Reliance
Meet Mrs. Rajalakshmi, a 42-year-old woman from Madhuravoyal, whose life took a positive turn through SEESHA’s Tailoring Skill Training.
After completing the training, Rajalakshmi joined the SEESHA Tailoring Unit, where she began putting her skills into practice and earning an income.
