We extend our appreciation for the research work conducted by postgraduate students Dr. Mohanasundaram (PT), Dr. Harishraj A (PT), and Dr. Madeshwaran S (PT) from the Department of Neuroscience at Saveetha College of Physiotherapy (SIMATS), Chennai, investigates the effectiveness of digital gaming compared to traditional Indian games in enhancing memory and attention among patients with Persistent Post-Concussion Syndrome (PPCS). The study was guided by Associate Professor Dr. Vignesh Srinivasan from the Department of Pediatric & Neonatal Sciences and Professor Dr. Prathap Suganthirababu from the Department of Neuroscience, SCPT, SIMATS. The findings emphasize that both modern digital interventions and culturally rooted traditional games can contribute meaningfully to cognitive rehabilitation. By analyzing engagement levels and cognitive outcomes, this research provides valuable insights into creating more accessible and patient-centered rehabilitation approaches, blending technology with tradition to support recovery in individuals with PPCS.

The Department of Paediatric and Neonatal Sciences at SIMATS College of Physiotherapy organized a mobile physiotherapy outreach camp on April 28, 2026, in Menambedu and Kallikuppam villages, aiming to deliver accessible rehabilitation services to underserved populations. The program was conducted in collaboration with Sevabharathi Tamil Nadu and the Department of Community Medicine, SMCH.

Postgraduate student Dr. Yazhini R (PT) addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of comprehensive assessment and evidence-based management of musculoskeletal conditions.

During the camp, numerous individuals were screened and provided with personalized physiotherapy interventions, targeted therapeutic exercises, and guidance for home-based management.

The core objective of the camp was to promote awareness through patient education, focusing on correct exercise practices, early intervention strategies, and sustainable lifestyle modifications to enhance long-term health outcomes.

This initiative contributed to increasing awareness about the role of physiotherapy in restoring function, alleviating pain, and improving quality of life, while also encouraging timely follow-up and continuity of care.

Iswarya, Tutor, Department of Physiotherapy, Saveetha Institute of Technical Sciences, Chennai, has successfully completed the NEP 2020 Orientation & Sensitization Programme under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MM-TTP) of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Organized by UGC-MMTTC, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, the programme was held from 21st to 29th April 2025. She was awarded a Grade 'A' for her performance. On February 22, 2025, the Paediatric Department at Saveetha College of Physiotherapy (SCPT) conducted a UBA camp in Molachur Village, Ward 12, Block Sriperumbudur. The team was led by postgraduate student Priyadharshini I. and included interns Sabitha, Rithika Shree, and Santhosh Krishna. They assessed and provided physiotherapy guidance for 6 cases, focusing on pediatric health and rehabilitation.
