📢 Inaugural GBM & Official Launch of ISTAC SOUTH REGIONAL CHAPTER

The Inaugural General Body Meeting (GBM) and Official Launch of the ISTAC South Regional Chapter (ISTAC SRC) was successfully conducted during TRACSCON 2026 at SRM Medical College, Chennai on 8th May 2026.

The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. M. C. Misra, President – ISTAC National, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from trauma surgeons across South India along with the gracious presence and guidance of the ISTAC National leadership.

The formation of ISTAC SRC marks an important milestone towards strengthening trauma and acute care collaboration, academics, research, and advocacy across South India.

🚑 ATLS 11th Edition Rollout – MGM Skills Lab, Navi Mumbai

MGM Skills Lab, MGMMC Kamothe, Navi Mumbai successfully conducted its 26th ATLS (Provider) Course, under the guidance of Prof. M. C. Mishra, former Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi & Founding Director, JPN Apex Trauma Centre.

This marks one of the first ATLS 11th Edition courses in India, alongside King George's Medical University—a significant step forward in standardized trauma training.

👨‍⚕️ Eminent multidisciplinary faculty from across India contributed to the course, reflecting strong national collaboration in trauma education.

🌟 The program was inaugurated as a tribute to Late Dr Sameer Kadam, whose vision since 2019 has led to:
• 26 ATLS courses conducted
• 400+ healthcare professionals trained

🚨 Historic Milestone in Trauma Training – India 🚨

The Indian Society for Trauma and Acute Care proudly announces the successful conduct of the first-ever 11th Edition of the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Provider Course in India, held on 23rd–24th April 2026 at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow.

👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ The course witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty and providers, all committed to elevating the standards of trauma care and improving patient outcomes.
