From Pain to Peace - Ms.Abhinaya Shree.V breastfeeding turnaround story.

She started her breastfeeding journey with ni**le pain, cracks, and endless tears.

Every feed felt like a battle until she reached out for the right lactation support.

With proper latch correction, bodywork, and personalized guidance, she healed physically and emotionally.

Today, she breastfeeds with comfort and confidence.

Every painful breastfeeding story deserves a gentle ending and the right care can make all the difference.

New moms, you’re being sold fear. Not facts!

Everywhere you look, ads scream: “Low milk supply? Try this powder!”

But here’s the truth: most mothers CAN make enough milk. A powder won’t fix a poor latch, infrequent feeding, or missed assessment.

You don’t need fear induced/marketed products . You need accurate guidance & compassionate support.

Have you seen these ads?

Did you feel pressured?

The Mom Dictionary: Words We Only Understand Now

Moms, you know the struggle is real! From "I’ll sleep when the baby sleeps" (aka never) to "self-care" (aka drinking water before noon), motherhood comes with its own special vocabulary.

I had the privilege of leading a online session for Rotaract student members of PSGR Krishnammal College and IIT Sri Lanka, where I spoke to both male and female students about the importance of breastfeeding and maternal wellbeing. The session aimed at breaking myths, building awareness, and fostering supportive mindsets among future professionals and caregivers. Over the years, I’ve conducted multiple such student-focused awareness sessions, empowering young minds to understand and advocate for breastfeeding as a collective responsibility.

I almost gave up breastfeeding because of this one advice…

“If it hurts, don’t feed beyond 15 minutes.”

No one talked about breastfeeding pain.

Everyone was focused on the baby’s weight gain, but I was in pain during every feed.

I saw multiple people.

Everyone said, “Your baby’s latch looks fine.”

But it didn’t feel fine to me.

I was exhausted, doubting myself, and felt so alone.

Breastfeeding was painful, my baby was always crying, and I felt like I was failing.

Then I found Kanimozhi ma’am, an experienced lactation consultant.

She was my final try before giving up completely.

She gave me a proper breastfeeding assessment not just for me, but for my baby too.

She found what others missed: my baby needed oral assessment and bodywork.

That one session changed everything.

I could feel the difference in the baby’s latch immediately.

Only mild pain remained  and then it disappeared completely after I followed her breastfeeding care plan for a week.

Now? I’m still breastfeeding my baby  pain-free, confident, and connected.

To every mom out there struggling with pain, latch issues, or feeding doubts don’t give up. Find the right support. You deserve it.

Absolutely!

Here's another version still attention-grabbing, but with a slightly more emotional and empowering tone:

“Can’t you *just* give the baby a bottle?”

“Why not *just* breastfeed?”

Oh, if only it were that simple.

Behind every feeding choice is a story:

Tears. Guilt. Grit. Love. Exhaustion. Determination.

There’s no “just” in feeding a baby.
Every decision is deeply personal—and often, deeply misunderstood.

Let’s stop simplifying and start supporting.

Share this if you’ve ever felt judged for how you fed your baby.

Nursing or ninja training?!

One minute, they’re latched peacefully. Next, they’re doing a full body twist with a surprise karate kick to your ribs!

Sound familiar?

Babies have a special talent for turning breastfeeding into an Olympic-level sport arch, wiggle, stretch, kick! And somehow, they never lose the latch.
