Diet to be followed for covid-19 patients( Home isolated)

In empty stomach have lukewarm water followed by herbal tea / milk with turmeric.

1. BREAKFAST---7:30 am to 8:30am.

* Wheat rava upma/ idly/ vegetable uthapam.
* Along with any one fruit( Preferably apple/ guava/ mosambi).

2. MORNING SNACK --- 10:00 to 11:00am.

* Soups ( warm) Or
Any Vegetable / Green leafy vegetable / dal soups.
* Multigrain bread sandwich with natural butter. Or
* Tender coconut water. Or
* Fruit juice.

3. LUNCH --- 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

* Rice/ chapathi
* Bowl of Vegetables
* Salads ( Preferably raw onion, carrots, cucumber, capsicum)
* Sambar, Rasam.
( Should Include any one high protein foods such as Boiled egg, seafood, white meat poultry, paneer, curd in moderate quantity).

4. EVENING SNACK--- 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

* Steamed/ boiled sprouts, corn, peanuts. Or
* One glass of milk. Or
* Millet milk porridge. (Ragi) Or
* Handful of 6 hours soaked nuts (Almonds 10-15)

5. DINNER --- 7:00pm to 8:00pm.
*Same as breakfast.

Others---
* Drink 3 to 4 litres of water a day.
* These guidelines are for only with mild symptoms and recovered persons. Consult doctor if you have food allergies.
* Avoid Coffee, Tea, fried items, Bakery items, cold beverages, Fast foods, commercial sauces, canned foods, Sweets.
* Eat fresh.
* Wear lite clothes.
* Sleep for 8 hours.
* keep your surroundings clean.
* Relax yourself with easy yoga poses, breathing exercises, Meditation, clapping exercise.
