Low GI Sugar: The New Corporate Trap for Diabetics! 🚫🍬
Corporate companies never run out of tricks to sell their products.
1️⃣ The Daredevil Stunt: Drink a soft drink and you can leap off a mountain. 🧗♂️
2️⃣ The Growth Illusion: Drink a health mix to become Stronger, Sharper, and Taller. 💪
3️⃣ The Oil Scam: "Cholesterol-Free" cooking oil. (Fact: No vegetable oil contains cholesterol! But if you eat deep-fried snacks made in it, your cholesterol will skyrocket anyway). 🍳
The latest entry to this list is: "Low GI Sugar."
📍 What is their claim?
Normal table sugar has a Glycemic Index (GI) of 65. These "special" products claim a GI of below 55. They want you to believe that because it releases glucose into the bloodstream more slowly, it is perfectly safe for diabetics to use.
📍 The Bitter Truth
When we talk about blood sugar, we refer to Glucose. However, the sugar we eat (Sucrose) is 50% Fructose. This fructose is what gives it the sweet taste.
By lowering the GI, they only slow down the rate at which glucose enters the blood. The amount of Fructose remains exactly the same.
📍 Why is Fructose Dangerous?
While every cell in your body can use glucose for energy, only the Liver can process fructose. This leads to several serious issues:
🔴 Consequence 1: Fructose goes straight to the liver, turns into fat, and stays there (Fatty Liver).
🔴 Consequence 2: It causes Insulin Resistance, making it harder for your body to manage blood sugar over time.
🔴 Consequence 3: It triggers hunger hormones, leading to overeating and weight gain.
🔴 Consequence 4: It raises Triglyceride levels and lowers good cholesterol (HDL), increasing heart disease risk.
💡 The Scientific Reality
Does it matter if you drink poison slowly or quickly? Poison is still poison! Just because the digestion speed (GI) is slightly lower doesn't make sugar "healthy." The calories and the long-term metabolic damage are exactly the same as regular sugar.
📢 Conclusion:
"Sugar for Diabetics" is a massive marketing myth. Sweetness, in any form or under any fancy name, carries the same risks.
