The Department of Pathology, AIIMS, New Delhi would like to extend a warm invitationto all pathologists for the 8th Annual Conference of APP (Association of Paediatric Pathologists) of India, APPINTCON 2026, which will be held on 07–09 August 2026 at AIIMS, New Delhi.

Congratulations to Dr. Nimishya Joon, Final Year Junior Resident, of the Department of Pathology, AIIMS, New Delhi for getting the Prestigious HD Tandon Award for Best Poster Presentation at DAPCON 2026, the 1st Annual conference of the Delhi Chapter of IAPM, held at UCMS on 1st March 2026.

Her award winning poster was titled: “Epithelial–Myoepithelial Tumors of the Breast: From Morphological to Molecular analysis of a Rare Biphasic Spectrum” presented an in-depth analysis of numerous cases, comprehensively integrating detailed histomorphology with immunohistochemistry and FISH-based molecular evaluation.

The first conference of the Society of Gastrointestinal & Hepatopancreatobiliary Pathologists (SGIHPBPs) of India was held at the G B Pant Hospital, New Delhi from 27th to 28th February, 2026.

Dr. Durre Aden, an Assistant Professor (temp) from the Department of Pathology, AIIMS, New Delhi won the second prize in the oral presentation session for her work on molecular testing in colorectal carcinoma done under the supervision of Prof. Prasenjit Das

Dr. Shivangi Dagar, Senior Resident and Dr. Shilpi Thakur , Assistant Professor (temp) won the first and second prizes in E-poster, Case Series category, for their work on Hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma and exploring the utility of EUS FNA/B samples in the diagnosis of metastatic tumors in pancreas respectively done under the supervision of Prof. Rajni Yadav of the department. Congratulations to First year junior resident of the Department of Pathology, AIIMS, New Delhi Dr Mounika C, presented a poster titled ‘Clinicopathological profile of Non Small Cell Lung Carcinoma with ERBB2 alterations’ and won the second prize in the original research category for her poster at the DAPCON 2026, the annual conference of the Delhi Chapter of the IAPM, held at UCMS on 1st of March, 2026.

The work, performed using Next Gen Sequencing, immunohistochemistry and FISH evaluations, was performed under the guidance of Dr. Aruna Nambirajan and Prof. Deepali Jain
