Plastic exposure can silently worsen symptoms of PCOS because many plastics contain chemicals called endocrine disruptors. These chemicals can mimic or interfere with hormones in the body.

The main culprits are:
1. BPA (Bisphenol A) – found in plastic bottles, containers, canned food linings
2. Phthalates – found in plastic packaging, fragrances, cosmetics
3. Microplastics – tiny plastic particles entering food and water

These may affect PCOS by:
*Increasing insulin resistance
*Triggering inflammation
*Disturbing estrogen and androgen balance
*Worsening weight gain, acne, irregular periods, and fertility issues

Simple ways to reduce exposure:
1. Avoid heating food in plastic containers
2. Use glass or steel bottles instead of plastic
3.Reduce packaged/processed foods
