🏏 Life Is Played One Ball at a Time
Every ball coming toward a batsman on pitch carries something written on it —
either runs… or a wicket.
And, mind you- No two balls are the same. Each one demands a different strike - direction, style, angle etc.
The batsman has nothing but fraction of a second to decide: Defend? Leave? Attack Rotate strike?
And how to strike- Sweep? Uppercut?
There is no replay.
No second attempt.
The right decision can have him a six. One small misjudgment… and he may have to walk to pavilion.
While he is standing on the crease, the batsman does not think about the previous ball.
Nor does he worry about the next one.
His entire focus is on the ball approaching him right now.
Life works the same way.
Every 24 hours is an opportunity given to us.
And how we respond determines whether we score… or lose momentum.
The day doesn’t come back. The moment doesn’t repeat.
Yet many of us:
- Keep replaying yesterday’s mistakes
- Keep waiting for tomorrow’s “perfect opportunity”
- Or keep blaming circumstances.
And in all this, today quietly passes by.
Success is not built in big, dramatic moments. It is built in how we respond to the day.
IDon’t curse the balls already bowled.
Don’t freeze waiting for the perfect one.
Focus on what’s coming at you now.
Play it well. Play it wisely. Play it fully.
Because in cricket… and in life…
The match is won one ball at a time.
And if that has resonated with you, let us stay connected...
