💉 WHY SKIPPING VACCINES IS RISKY?

“Your child looks healthy today… but are they protected for tomorrow?” 👶

Vaccines train your child’s immune system to recognize and fight serious infections before they cause harm.

🚨 What happens when vaccines are skipped?

Your child may be left unprotected against preventable diseases such as:

Measles
Whooping cough
Polio
Meningitis
🛡️ Why should you vaccinate on time?

Vaccines can help:
✅ Reduce the risk of serious illness
✅ Prevent dangerous complications
✅ Protect babies and vulnerable people around your child
✅ Keep your child's immunization schedule on track

❤️ Remember:

Skipping one vaccine may seem harmless…
but protection works best when vaccines are given according to the recommended schedule.

📅 Don't wait until your child gets sick.
Check your child's vaccination schedule with your pediatrician.

**VACCINATE ON TIME.

PROTECT THEIR TOMORROW. 💙**

🚨 Giving antibiotics to your child for every fever or cough? Think twice!

Antibiotics can be lifesaving when a child has a bacterial infection, but they don't work against viruses—the most common cause of many childhood colds, coughs, and flu-like illnesses.

Unnecessary antibiotic use can lead to:
❌ Antibiotic resistance
❌ Diarrhea, vomiting, or stomach upset
❌ Allergic reactions
❌ Unnecessary disruption of normal gut bacteria
❌ Delayed diagnosis if the real cause of illness is missed

👉 Never start leftover antibiotics or give your child's antibiotic prescription to another child.
👉 Don't stop or change an antibiotic course on your own—follow the pediatrician's instructions.

💙 The right medicine depends on the right diagnosis. A fever doesn't automatically mean your child needs an antibiotic.

👀🚨 Viral Conjunctivitis is spreading among children!

Red eyes, watery discharge, itching, swelling, and increased sensitivity to light can be signs of conjunctivitis. It can spread easily from one child to another through contaminated hands, towels, pillows, or close contact.

👉 If your child has conjunctivitis:
✅ Encourage frequent handwashing 🧼
✅ Avoid sharing towels, pillows, or personal items
✅ Keep your child's hands away from their eyes
✅ Clean eye discharge gently with clean water and a fresh cotton pad
❌ Don't use leftover or someone else's eye drops without medical advice

Most viral conjunctivitis cases improve on their own, but severe pain, vision changes, significant swelling, or worsening symptoms need prompt medical evaluation.

💙 Early care + good hygiene can help reduce the spread to siblings and other children.

💙 Your child has been diagnosed with autism. What should you do next?

Hearing the diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but remember—an autism diagnosis is not the end of your child's journey. It's the beginning of understanding how they learn and communicate best.

Here are the first steps:
✅ Accept the diagnosis without blaming yourself.
✅ Start early intervention as recommended by your healthcare team.
✅ Encourage communication through play and daily interaction.
✅ Celebrate small milestones—every achievement matters.
✅ Build a strong support system with your pediatrician, therapists, teachers, and family.

❤️ Every child with autism is unique. With the right support, patience, and early guidance, many children continue to learn, grow, and reach their individual potential.

Remember, your child doesn't need to be "fixed"—they need to be understood, supported, and loved.

If you have concerns about your child's development or have recently received an autism diagnosis, speak with your pediatrician or a developmental specialist to discuss the next steps.

🚨 Let's bust the Top 5 Myths About Autism!

Autism is surrounded by many myths that can delay diagnosis and support. As a pediatrician, let's separate facts from fiction. 💙

❌ Myth 1: Autism is caused by bad parenting.
✅ Fact: Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition and is not caused by parenting.

❌ Myth 2: Vaccines cause autism.
✅ Fact: Scientific research has found no evidence that vaccines cause autism.

❌ Myth 3: Children with autism don't make eye contact or show affection.
✅ Fact: Every child with autism is different. Many enjoy affection and may make eye contact in their own way.

❌ Myth 4: Autism can be "cured."
✅ Fact: Autism is not a disease. Early intervention and therapies can help children develop communication, learning, and daily living skills.

❌ Myth 5: All children with autism have the same symptoms.
✅ Fact: Autism is called a spectrum because every child has unique strengths, challenges, and abilities.

💙 Early recognition and timely support can make a significant difference in a child's development. If you notice delays in speech, social interaction, or repetitive behaviors, consult a pediatrician or developmental specialist for an evaluation.

🚨 Is it safe for a baby to sleep at a 35° angle? Here's a pediatrician's reaction! 👶

Many parents believe that keeping a baby in an inclined position helps with reflux, cough, or better sleep. But before trying it, here's what you should know.

💙 For healthy infants, the safest sleep position is:
✅ Flat on their back
✅ On a firm, flat mattress
✅ Without pillows, wedges, or sleep positioners

Sleeping at an incline may increase the risk of a baby sliding into a position that can make breathing difficult, especially in young infants.

If your baby has reflux, congestion, or another medical condition, don't use an inclined sleeping position unless it has been specifically recommended by your pediatrician.

👉 Remember:
• Always place your baby on their back to sleep.
• Keep the sleep area free of loose blankets, pillows, and soft toys.
• If you're concerned about your baby's sleep or reflux, seek medical advice rather than trying home remedies.

Safe sleep habits can significantly reduce the risk of sleep-related accidents.
