Hair shedding is often influenced by nutrient status, follicle cycling, inflammation, and overall metabolic health. 🔬

In some individuals, correcting nutritional deficiencies can help reduce shedding and support healthier hair growth over time.

🩸 Iron + Vitamin C
Hair follicles are highly metabolically active and require adequate iron for normal growth. Low iron stores can push more follicles into the resting (telogen) phase, increasing diffuse shedding. Vitamin C helps improve iron absorption and supports collagen synthesis around follicles.

☀️ Vitamin D
Vitamin D receptors play an important role in follicle cycling and immune regulation. Deficiency has been associated with conditions such as telogen effluvium, alopecia areata, and female pattern hair loss.

🧬 Zinc
Zinc is involved in DNA synthesis, protein production, and cell division within rapidly growing follicle cells. Low zinc levels have been linked with increased shedding and hair fragility.

🐟 Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3s may support scalp and follicle health through anti-inflammatory pathways and help create a healthier environment for hair growth.

🥩 Protein
Hair is primarily made of keratin, a structural protein. Inadequate protein intake can impair hair production and contribute to increased shedding.

💡 The takeaway?
Hair often looks fuller not because supplements instantly grow new hair, but because correcting deficiencies may gradually reduce follicle stress, improve hair cycling, and decrease excessive shedding over time.

If you're experiencing persistent hair fall, finding the underlying cause is often more important than simply adding another hair product.

At first, every patient feels like a number.
Then one day… you realize every number is actually a story. 🤍

The pigmentation they hid for years.
The confidence they slowly got back.

Trying every under-eye cream… and still not seeing a difference? 👀

That’s because not all dark circles are the same and we need different ingredients to target these concerns !

Some are brown → pigmentation
Some look blue or purple → usually vascular
Some are puffiness or hollowness under the eyes
And some are simply fine lines + thinning skin.

And this is exactly why one random “dark circle cream” doesn’t work for everyone.

Here’s a quick trick: Do a PINCH Test..

If the colour fades slightly when you gently stretch the skin, it’s more likely vascular.
If it doesn’t fade, pigmentation could be the reason.

Here’s a dermatologists guide on which ingredients to look for 👇🏻

✨ Brown dark circles / pigmentation:
• Vitamin C
• Niacinamide
• Kojic acid
• Lumiskin
• Tranexamic acid
• Azelaic acid
• Licorice extract

⚠️ Constant rubbing from allergies or eczema can worsen pigmentation too.

✨ Blue / purple under-eyes (vascular):
• Caffeine
• Vitamin K
• Peptides
• Retinal / Retinol

Most creams fail here because this is not true pigmentation.

✨ Puffy eyes / morning swelling:
• Caffeine
• Haloxyl
• Matrixyl 3000

✨ Fine lines / crepey under-eyes:
• Retinal / Retinol
• Matrixyl
• Hyaluronic acid
• Ceramides
• Growth factor formulations

✨ For under eye hollowness no under eye cream can improve them they can be improved by eye fillers or PRF

Also don’t ignore the basics:
Poor sleep, allergies, low iron, thyroid issues, stress, dehydration, and genetics can all make dark circles worse.

So before buying another expensive under-eye cream…
understand what type of dark circles you actually have!!!
