Shingles Pain Medicine Not Working? Why Nerve Pain Takes Time | शिंगल्स के बाद दर्द

Why does shingles pain continue even after the rash has healed—and why don’t nerve pain medicines provide immediate relief?

In this video, Dr. Amod Manocha explains that shingles can irritate or damage the nerves, causing burning pain, electric-shock sensations, tingling, or itching.

Medicines used for nerve pain, such as gabapentin or pregabalin, may take time to work because nerve recovery is gradual and differs from person to person.

Persistent pain after shingles may be related to postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). Do not stop, start, or change your medication or dosage without consulting your doctor.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and working independently in a modern, procedure-based clinical practice.

No night shifts | Fixed daytime working hours | Opportunity to learn

Key responsibilities include:
✔ Assisting during interventional pain procedures
✔ Preparing and managing the procedure room while maintaining strict aseptic standards
✔ Operating and positioning equipment such as the C-arm and ultrasound system after training
✔ Monitoring patients before, during and after procedures
✔ Maintaining drugs, consumables and equipment inventory
✔ Clinical documentation and patient records
✔ Supporting OPD workflow, patient coordination and day-to-day clinic operations
✔ Assisting with general administrative and operational responsibilities as required

Essential Qualifications
• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
• Valid State Nursing Council registration

Preferred
• Experience in OT, ICU, Anaesthesia or Day-care Surgery
• Physically fit and comfortable handling clinical equipment and assisting with patient transfers
• Good communication and computer skills
• Candidates residing in or near South Delhi will be preferred
