Art Therapy: When Words Aren't Enough
Your mind is racing. Your chest is tight. You've tried talking about it, but words just don't capture how you actually feel.
That's what art therapy is for.
You don't need to be "good at art." You don't need to know what you're doing. You just need to show up and let your hands move.
A color you pick. A line you draw. A shape that comes out of nowhere — that's your mind speaking when your mouth can't.
Because sometimes healing isn't about understanding your emotions. It's about expressing them.
When you paint what you're feeling, something shifts. The overwhelm becomes color. The anxiety becomes movement. The heaviness becomes light.
I've seen people sit in silence for an hour, just painting. And when they're done, they breathe differently.
Like something heavy finally left their body.
